Bianchi Arcadex Review - Is it a real Gravel Bike?

  • Let's talk about this monster of a bike. I have been riding it all summer and feel I have an understanding of what the bike is like now, so thought I would share my thoughts on it. I also give an overview of the spec and what I think works and doesn't work on this carbon beast.
    Also, my camera decided to fog up for reasons unknown - so apologies for the slowly degrading quality. I would like to have re-recorded it but time was against me. Tough life this CZcams lark!

    Love your Review, the gorgeous view and now the bike too. I hope some day I can take a Picture of my Bike in this place

    Yeah, arcadex owner here as well! Agree with you lot, definitely a killer. Plan on getting a Cane creek seatpost though, backend is a tad too stiff, I ride a lot of mb single track. Have the rattle looked at bij you lbs. It's not supposed to be there. Furthermore, my lbs put a rubber grommet in the porthole on the side. Easy fix.

    I couldn't resist purchasing this bike as well and have no regrets whatsoever. Like you, I went with the DI2 in Celeste and your review is spot on. Never could determine if the Fulcrum RR wheels that came with mine were actually tubeless ready but I'm running them tubeless now with 38's (Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss) and haven't had any problems yet. Sure do hope that wasn't a mistake 🤔 ... Anyway. Thanks for the great review!

      That's awesome! I would like to hear if you ever confirm the Fulcrums are Tubeless or not - only so I can lament the fact that maybe I spent extra money that I probably didn't need to getting tubeless rims :)

      I looked into that. Should be tubeless.

    I'm so glad you brought up the noise when riding over bumps! I just got my Arcadex on Friday and it's the first full carbon bike I've owned, also the first gravel bike. I got the noise when I went down a curb and I was worried I'd broken my bike on the first ride. So glad to know it seems to be normal.
    I absolutely love the bike. I'm actually running it with two sets of wheels, 28 for the road and 38 for off road. At first I was skeptical that it could keep up with my road bike but I don't think I'll ever go back.

      Is that noise happens all the time when you’re riding ?

      @@rafaelrossioli9434 Nope, just every now and then when I hit drops at an unfortunate angle.

      @@rafaelrossioli9434 I mean it's still ugly but I love riding it. Very comfortable and with my second set of wheels for the road it's very flexible.

      @@nickstahl6672 I will see one on the flesh tomorrow. Sorry to bother you with one more question, but your comment about another wheel makes me wonder.
      How different from an endurance bike, the arcadex rides?
      Asking because I have a bianchi infinito for summer and I don’t want to have two really similar bianchis I guess.
      Btw, I don’t take my infinito on any gravel, just roads.

  • @rafaelrossioli9434
    @rafaelrossioli9434 Před 8 měsíci

    I’ve currently got a bianchi infinito 47cm with upgraded wheel, which I love it.
    But now I wanted to have a gravel bike, which I can also use as a winter bike for some light gravel and on-road winter rides in the UK.
    2 questions… if I’ve got a 47cm, the smaller frame for the Infinito, would I go for XS for the Arcadex?
    Some XS ones on good price with the 600 group set, so I may try this bike …
    Opinion ?

    Hi, great review! I want to buy this bike but it is hard to find L or 54cm size currently (my height is 178 cm, 82 cm inner leg lenght). Since you said that your ride is M size, can I ask you your dimensions, maybe I can also fit M? Thank you for your help!

    • @RustyRidesGravel
      @RustyRidesGravel  Před rokem

      Hey, I think I am similar to you there in size. I know the Criterium cycles guys currently have a Bianchi sale on and have a M frame model at half price. They also have sizing guides to help determine what would fit you. I don't work for them or anything trying to get sales, but they are genuinely good and always help me when I have questions.

      @@RustyRidesGravel Hi, I bought the bike 8 months ago, when I posted previous comment. I am very satisfied with it... I am just curious, can you maybe recommend slick tyres for it if I am driving more on road? Is it worth it at all? Appreciate the help!

    A bit odd how you claim one by is so good then immediately point out why two by would be better. I fully agree that you don't need to spend so much for a perfect gravel bike.
