In the beginning, he starts off with little dew-drops of celestial melody a mood indigo, you feel you just want to step into it. It's like stepping into a river and joining the flow. Every moment in the river has its song. At the 'bridge' the transition mixed Occidental with Oriental and the result was superb and dynamic, totally unexpected. The instrument you talked about is called Kaval, a popular and traditional instrument mostly used in Turkey since decades. Yes it is played as you see like side mouth with a precise breath control and it is a very hard instrument to play and perform well. The guy who is performing in this video is absolutely pro.
