Stolen Terex Dumper find operation in Scotland by Automatrics MTrack 10 Sept 2018

  • Automatrics head off early towards Scotland in anticipation for yet another stolen one ton dumper find operation whilst waiting for the Automatrics MTrack plant tracker unit to connect on its next wake cycle.
    The finding team is helped throughout the operation by 24/7 support operators feeding valuable asset location updates on the long journey north. After a series of traffic delays on the M6 and the Cumbria weather taking a turn for the worse Automatrics press on. Fading light starts to become a concern, something that could prevent Automatrics from using their new theft finding drone unless they can reach this rural search site before dusk.
    The team reach the search site and the drone is launched but it cannot be used to search across the fields due to poor light. There is not much that can be done until Police Scotland can complete a shift change to send officers to attend the area and help Automatrics search fields opposite Ettleton Cemetery near Newcastlton.
    Two officers from police Scotland arrive to meet with Automatrics and drive through a gravel track to gain vehicle access to the GPS and radio signal location of the stolen Terex dumper. Visibility is virtually non-existent so the hand held radio tracking receiver is needed. Follow the team to see if they can locate the stolen machine or end a 12 hour search operation empty handed

    You would probably greatly benefit from a RF Doppler Direction Finder. Ramsey Electronics in Victor, NewYork in the USA had a model they sold for years but sadly enough due to legalities they stopped their electronic kit production. It seems there are other companies that specialize in that sort of thing.I do believe the schematics are online to produce the same model as well as it was originally designed and shared by a ham radio operator. I hope this helps you in tracking things down more precisely. Excellent system though guys!!! Cheers from New York USA.

    I've watched a few of these videos now and came to the conclusion that Richard often oversteps his bounds with the Police, telling them how to do their job.
    Today it's sarcasm and talking down to the police despatcher, with a "Well done, well done!" because she managed to find a cemetery on a map, followed by the implication that border police time can only be occupied with poaching and sheep rustling!
    Such a respectful, funny, funny guy.

      The technology to prevent this has existed for hundreds of years but our idiotic legal system contrived a way to prevent its use. It's very simple technology but effective. It works by making the would-be thieves question the economic of carrying out the theft in the first place and usually results in then giving it up. After being caught once there is a very high chance they won't do it again. It's called a 'birch rod' and is administered in public to the buttocks of offenders. They basically get a right good hiding which is extremely painful but worse is the fact that anyone can watch them being totally humiliated!

    Aww, what a lovely weather. Just pleasure for outdoor activities. I doubt any self respecting thief goes on the job in this weather.

    The land owners should be held responsible, I live in the country and I don’t know of any farmer that wouldn’t know exactly what’s on his land especially in the middle of a field .

  • @Urov.
    @Urov. Před rokem

    Bit dumb how this company doesn't have people based in the middle of the country so it's faster to reach all areas before the tracker is destroyed or the property is chopped.
