Woow! The best sound I've ever heard from a 787 engine! I always believed that it sounded with a simple pitch, but sounds also with the " bass roar" as the 767 and 757 ( 777 also). Nice!

I flew the Dreamliner in April from Singapore to Perth "business class".
It was nothing flash however the seats were comfortable and the legroom was ample, but not true business class.
The food was nice the plane was quiet and the experience only cost me $150 to upgrade from economy (which was cheap anyway !).
A few days before the flight you receive a "bid4biz" email where you can place a bid to upgrade, i was in KL at the time so put in 150 just to see. Didnt think anymore about it until i arrive in Singapore and checked my email.
For me it was worth it for the legroom, the comfort the food and the boarding.
I would do it again

+PoorPatrician 4 a day, actually. Three of them are all airlines from Asia. Scoot, Thai, China Southern. Next year, Etihad will be flying a 787 also to Perth. Air New Zealand is the only airline not from Asia that flies a 787 here

+LeAppleZ well they are both almost the same ..But recently theres been a callback for 787's with GE engines... Luckily the scoots have the trent 1000 ones hehe

Britt Unculus I really prefer airplanes made of steel rather than of plastic, but if I had to make a choice, I'd probablz prefer the A350... just bigger!
You cannot choose steel; its got to be aluminium and more or less other stuff and carbon fibre composites are better than aluminium.
Britt Unculus Yeah, Aluminium is what I meant. I'm scared to see what 35 years of service with countless ground damages and hard landings will do to these airframes, but I am certainly clueless in terms of subject matter knowledge. So let's hope for the best and trust the one knowing better than me (which is pretty much everyone).

I'm not a big fan of putting the website address on the side of the plane. Makes it look like cheap trash.
Airasia X offer lie flat business class, and they give out tablets for your IFE.....
