This was an ambitious coloring book full of intricate details and beautiful pictures by @KerbyRosanes. And this time, I’m creating a galaxy space scene with Derwent Inktense & Prismacolor pencils!

Kerby's book is one of the intimidating coloring books I have seen. but I see people no matter the coloring style, it just works wonderfully! Sarah I love to see you really enjoyed coloring on this book. I will take your advice to just start and enjoy the process! 🙂
I'm not sure if I can tell you just how much this helped me. I have a developed my own coloring style and it is just doing layers and layers and layers of polychromos. Detail work. It takes me AGES to finish anything. But watching you do this.... I was enraptured because watching it is soooo different from my own style and any time I tried to guess what you would do you did the opposite and it came out absolutely incredible. I REALLY need to get out of my comfort zone. This looks beautiful and it looked.... fun. I want that.

Looks stunning , that background , it really looks beautiful and stands out ! love how in Kerby's books that you can be a bit different ! amazing and beautiful ! have not tried a galaxy background I do want to but so busy but i might just have to try this weekend take time out for fun ! I would love to learn oil pastel galaxy backgrounds they look cool also :)
For the record: the "colors that naturally occur" in minute 1m31s are synthetically created, i.e., the galaxies themself don't have those colors, but they are added in order to make the structures more visible.

So creative is what I can say about your painting, how you use color to fill and blend colors together perfectly. Especially when you color in the small details in the picture, I was thrilled to watch it carefully to make sure not to miss any details.

I really like when you give an approximation of how much time you spent on each page. I feel like when things are sped up and timelapsed it's easy to forget how long the process takes. I know I get frustrated when things take too long, but hearing your time estimates makes that part of things more bearable, then I know that I'm not slow, it's just a long process. :)

Yay, another Kerby Rosanes page!! I just bought this book a couple weeks ago and I have fallen in love with it! The galaxy is super beautiful and looks amazing, well done! If you do another page from this book, can I suggest the one with the books and the waterfall? Trying to make the water look like it's rushing or transparent could be an interesting challenge...
Colour with Claire did that page recently.
Karen from 'My Colourful Country Life' has just completed this entire book and she has a color along for every page, including the library page. I've learned so much by watching her color in Kerby's books; before I found her channel I was soooo intimidated and wouldn't dare start a Kerby page - now I'm almost halfway through the book :)

The way you explain where to put each colour and that research is your friend makes it easy to follow along and not to be afraid to try new things and colours that normally wouldn’t go together! This is my favorite video that you have done! I am a huge fan of Kirby and the space subject matter. You took this coloring page and made it your own by making the planets eclipse and adding the reflection to the helmet. I have never thought to color over the details on the page to create something new. I generally stay in the lines. Thank you!

Thanks Sarah (and Shane) for another inspirational colouring page. As you talk through your process it makes me think about possibilities. I am very fearful of backgrounds, but particularly love this galaxy. Finding reference photos for backgrounds could be the answer for me.😀🤞

I absolutely love this page! You gave me a LOT of new ideas! Thank you!!! Your moonman is stunning. I hate Star Wars but I'm about to go watch how you did the storm troopers. I struggle with values and dimension/depth with my drawings due to being born without depth perception. I use different ways to DIY depth perception since I never had it, my brain did its best at compensating I can just barely suueak by at the DMV and always have to have two tries lol! So your videos really help me me. Thank for the tutorials. So helpful! ❤️
