Even if he was inflating what happened, which he's not, what exactly have you done by attacking a man who wanted nothing more than to tell the story of the men who fought alongside him, to their deaths, on that mountain?
I'm a South African an have never been to USA. But through this man I have met the true American spirit: Patriotism. I don't agree with a lot of political approach but citizens like Luttrell inspire me.
I have 2 close friends that live here in the USA that are from South Africa. Myself, my family, and my friends are blessed and proud to know people from SA. God bless you all!

But many of start and need like he has and those that have not never choose to serve The lining why we do what we do is because we know , we know that our help is all some have. Marcus Luttrell is a man among men, a hero by his heartfelt devotion to this country in addition to his deeds, a man worthy of admiration and respect not because he is without faults or weaknesses but because he has faults and weaknesses and refuses to surrender to them or to the battles that rage outside his mind! He is an example of the patriotic American that this country has grown and prospered under and needs leading us still today! We need more men like him and the men he lived and fought beside for so many years, the men who gave their lives in a fight to protect other innocent lives and to fulfill the objective this country asked of them...what greater man is there than one who will lay down his life to protect others and their right to a free life and pursuit of their own dreams!?! No greater price can be paid for freedoms that are too valuable to place a price upon!
