This channel focuses on combat flight simulators like DCS World and IL-2 Great Battles. If you play either of these games or flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and enjoy aviation and dogfighting then this channel is for you. Even if you are coming from War Thunder and BF2042, you can learn to fly these combat flight simulators.
I play using TrackIR5 and do not use VR, this means that I am able to capture footage for tutorials, how-to-guides and other multiplayer tips and tricks video in 1440p.
Eagle Dynamics has made it easier than ever to learn DCS because the game is technically free. The game has the F-15, F-16, Su-27, Mig-29, Mig-21, Mig-19, Mig-15, F-86 Sabre, Jf-17, Mirage 2000, F-18 Hornet and F-14 Tomcat. There are soon other modules coming such as the Mig-23 and F-4. Lastly, there are helicopters like the Mi-24 Hind and AH-64 Apache.
The same is also true for IL-2 Great Battles. With Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Kuban, Battle of Bodenplatte, Battle of Moscow and Battle of Normandy being released, there is an immense amount of variety covered. The Bf-109, Fw-190, P-51, Tempest, P-47, Mc.202, Stuka, Ju-88, He-111, and so on are all in the game. I focus on making videos to make that part accessible so you can dive into IL-2 Multiplayer. - Hry
Let me know your favourite part. I thought this was a neat one because of the progression from an enthusiast, to hobbyist and then to a professional module maker.

@@Enigma89 Yeah that makes sense, anyways nice video!
Great interview, Enigma. Love this. Really "in the moment" Gotta get some F4U content. ;)
Grinnelli has been a huge part of the community for a very long time, I was so happy to see him go official and can't wait to try out the F-100D ❤
Great Interview, many thanks indeed for your passion and support. I love the F100 and am super excited to see it come to DCS. Kind regards Nick
Thanks for listening
The Hun will be an absolute blast to fly in general, and it's one of my top 5 awaited modules for DCS.
Nice interview! It's a cool opportunity to be able to work with Grinnelli, as well as a real F-100! I'm with you on the SME topic at 14:12, love the history behind these aircraft, but also know that none of us live forever. That's one part of the motivation behind working and learning with these aircraft.
I was in the process of moving apartments when we did this interview so sorry if my audio levels were moving around a bit. My room was basically empty and had to tweak things so it did not echo.
I love the F-100D and it will be day 1 purchase for me when it will be released for DCS. I really appreciate the work of Grinnelli Designs 👍🏻😃
You made me buy the MIG 21 and I thank you for doing so. It's wildly fun and I am really enjoying your server, thank you.
22:10 I wish every module had this, anyways nice video
For real
The Good: F-100D Super Sabre coming to DCS, The Bad: Still no Vietnam map in DCS.
Personally I think that the proyect tracker is an amazing and "simple" idea to keep the people hyped and informed
Always neat to see module dev interviews.
Excellent interview/video. Could you conduct such an interview with FlyingIron Simulations as well please, discussing their A-7 Corsair II module?
I don't know anyone from that project but if you do point them my way.
Great interview. Looking forward to the first of the Century Series. I hope other makers delve into these as well, and soon before the guys that flew them are gone.
love your interviews, thanks a lot for keep doing them, I can only imagine how hard is to get a developer to open up to the public.
Yet another great module maker interview!
I really appreciate these and love all the aspects of how it's done and what motivates them.
Looking forward to the F100D and it will be worth every penny!
Great to get the info. Im looking forward to this one not just as an aircraft but what I hope it really starts a focus on and that’s Vietnam era combat and hopefully a map someday.
The Milviz F-100 was a blast in FSX/P3D.
Can't wait for this.
A server of mig 15-19 vs f86 and f100 would be amazing.
Enigma has recently polled the server on availability of the modules in community for a possible korean war event
i cant wait for it . Thanks guys
i love these types of videos
Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
F-100D will be a great addition, for me this era is so cool for aviation because of the experimentation and design classics that came from it. The English Electric Lightning and the F-8 Crusader, for me two of the most interesting and best-looking aircraft. They both ooze style.
i will instabuy ! just for the sabre dance !
Yesss!
I love that the Vietnam era is getting filled in. Such a rich corner of military aviation.
Rahhhh i love the super sabre
Nice !
I can’t wait to do the Sabre Dance!
I think the worst offenders for the Sabre Dance phenomenon were mostly the earlier models.. I think they made a bunch of modifications by the F-100D model to where it wasn't nearly as easy to develop such oscillations in low speed flight... (larger wing/tail, yaw dampener, etc) But that's just my recollection from something I read at some point many moons ago. 😊
That said... if it is still easy to make the module do the Sabre Dance then ECW runways are going to be a nightmare world of flaming wreckage for the first few days after release.
they definitely still suffered from the dance, maybe it was better

Another great interview. These videos are a real treasure and IMO are among the best DCS content on youtube
73 is quite old?! I resemble that remark, lol I would like to point out, just because you are older, we are not throw away, in fact, we are a treasure to mine. I was an Army tank commander, just saying, I have played fight sims since the early 90's, I've been around, been always interested in flying since I saw a Thunderbird F-86 fly right over our house at about 200 ft. I still have my full faculties at 72 yrs old, lol!
There are REDFOR jets coming to DCS - J-8II, MIG-17, MIG-23 and (I believe) a SU-17/22 - could you push out a video with the module maker of the SU-17/22 please? That one seems to have disappeared
The Su-17 is not officially announced and there are 3 different teams working on it. I have no clue what the hell is going on with that plane.
3 teams seems like a real waste of effort, sadly. It would seem better if an ad hoc group could form around a project with a standard term sheet for revenue sharing once released.
A lot of DCS projects have a historical preservation aspect to them, and maybe some national or even international flight society or museum could step in and reduce the risks people take on with the R&D.
when playing the server do i have to buy each individual aircraft before joining the server or is it just free/provided?
You just need one module
Cool stuff. Are there any modders that anyone is aware of that raises the bar with ground fidelity and realism? I feel this is something sorely overlooked.
If you make an earlier Cold War, make a p-51 in it
F-100D is a great module for bluefor
Regarding the cost of these modules, I’m shocked at how cheap they are. Considering the amount of work that goes into creating them, and the amount of enjoyment and replay ability we get from flying them, $60 is an insane bargain. I really wish ED would consider making the core game a paid product, with a commensurate level of development from the revenue generated.
It is really surprising especially when you compare it to modules in other games.
The free to play and trialing scheme is to attract as much players as possible, get them a taste of the gameplay so that they would buy the module they wouldn't otherwise
@@linecraftman3907 Yes, but that comes at the expense of needing to continually releasing modules so as to ensure a steady stream of income. Which leaves DCS with an under-optimized core game.
Google "DCS F-100D" and see that in Aug 2022 All the hype was built around it. Since then? Nothing. That's how it goes with ED and Third Parties. Build the hype around it, then take 5-7 years to release it.
With how much research and time goes into seeing the viability of a project, it probably makes sense that things have to be announced early to basically signal to other module makers to avoid that plane.
Any project requiring a lot of R&D and interviews with SMEs (pilots, technicians, etc) is very risky, so I think it’s quite understandable for them to announce to “deconflict” as well as gauge interest levels (and stoke a little bit). It is too bad that the R&D phase has to be extremely quiet.
I have such a project going in a totally different market and I know for a fact that progress updates would just make my potential market adopt a lot of destructive and negative attitudes. People don’t want to see the development struggle, and they evaluate every version of the project as the one you’re trying to sell them, so you hear a lot of “I would never pay for that” and those people insist on convincing others that it’s a waste of money all the way until delivery.
I was glad to hear someone else mention that the F-100 flew more sorties during the war in Vietnam than any other aircraft. So much attention for the F-4 and the Hun pilots carried a lot of water.
Nicely done, nice interview. Thank you!
Apt timing for your comment, with the newsletter release today lol
Same dude who takes to PMing you some nasty stuff when you don't cheerlead everything ED does and lies about being a developer for Leatherneck sims. Heard this from multiple people about Grinnelli, as well as experienced it first hand. Cool to see him take off and get supported
He has helped us with missions, voice acting and promo videos.
Well that was a short lived drama
@@Magnitude_3 his claim was doing dev work on the CEII, did he help develop that module?
For the record, he eventually admitted that he just worked on the manual, nothing in depth so I sorta know the answer already
@@Enigma89 maybe, it was back during the F-16 release so possible he did more work later. He admitted to me in the PMs he just worked on typing up manuals for the CEII.
Doesn't change his way of addressing people who don't cheerlead for ED, makes sense they hired him.
@@NickwarHere If you purchased it, all you gotta do is check the manual's credits' section✌
