  • why is my husky compressor makin noise? why is my husky air compressor slowing down? why is my husky compressor screaming? why is my husky air compressor making a loud noise? and smell like burnt. This 60 Gallon Husky Air compressor after running a little bit would start to run slow like if the electric motor was slowing down and would make a squeak, squeaky, squealing noise and would also smell like burned. I explain the symptoms and show the replacement of start and run capacitors as well as the belt.
Thank you in advance for the support and hope my video helped.

Wonderful video Brother!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed another fellow who welded up an angle piece with two nuts and bolts which he used to tighten the belt. It is here on CZcams.... I am about to go make one! 😀😀😀😀 Here it is: "Air Compressor Belt Squeak Eliminator - No more squealing slipping" God's Blessings my man!!!!

I had the exact same problem, drove me crazy diagnosing the problem, threw many parts at it with no avail. Thought the belt was tight enough too.. But it wasnt!.. If anyone has this problem tighten the belt first!

Man I sure am glad this helped someone..I just wish it would have helped you before you threw parts at it...

@@EddiesCustomsandRestorations Thanks, I did try to find someone else having the same problem but.. Wasn't that a strange problem? never crossed my mind the belt was too loose cause the motor seemed like it was dying!? Its as if the motor needed to sense a load for it to run at max torque.

@@eer88 my thoughts exactly! It was the weirdest thing!! But after thinking about it more it made sense because the reason it slows down is because the pump itself isn't rotating since the belt is slipping. The part that actually creates the noise is actually the pump not the electric motor.
