- today we tried making roti for the first time, we did not have the correct tools but nevertheless we did what we could with what we had.

Wow! Murphy was on the right track making it with his hands before rolling the dough,he definitely grew up around Indians❤
Colaz, im an indian. I couldnt make the real roti for over 60 yrs. Don't feel no way. It was not until kast week that i learnt to make it. You just need to roll it very thin and oil ( just grease it) not to fry it. When you flatten the dough you grease both side of the roti while you turning it from dide to side. It is thin so the heat go through it and bake it quickly. Dont let it get chrispy. You can use a little pastry brush to brush on the oil because the roti gets hot while you are baking it. This soft flimsy roti good for eating with curry chicken and curry goat. Climers mother is correct. You can make the crispy type, split it in two and butter it. That's nice also. Good going guys. You are truly a very lovable bunch of people.

It's always inspiring to see Colaz Smith and the team try something new and challenging, especially when they don't have the proper tools or resources to do so. Making roti, a traditional Indian flatbread, can be a difficult task even with the proper tools and techniques. Doing it without those tools can be even more challenging. Omg Colaz your roti is the bomb next time use a rum or red label wine bottle fill it with clean water cap tightly secured to roll out the dough it’s easier 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️
An easier way to apply the oil is to use a piece of paper towel dipped in the oil. You all did great.

I'm from Trinidad we make roti in Trinidad a nd Tobago every day what kind of roti is being made we make safe roti Dhalpouri roti PARATHA roti also call buds up shot if you dont a rolling pun you can use a bottle to roll out the dough to make the roti even another roti dosti roti or 2 in 1all that is roti ask a Trini we know how to make any kind of ROTI no joke

As a Guyanese and of Indian descent, she didn’t do a bad job however it’s supposed to be way thinner than that and you’re supposed to clap it with both hands when you take it off the fire so it can be softer. She made “ sada roti” which is a stiffer roti. looks good tho❤
