N Corp vs Kromer Challenge (4 N Corp Sinners Only) | 3-22 Final Boss (Pre-Nerf) | Limbus Company

What an incredibly painful and pointless thing to do, but hey, that's the kind of thing I find fun.
A couple of things to note about this clear:
1) Obviously Kromer's passive means she not only recovers 15% HP per turn, but her Attack Power is permanently 3 points higher than it would be otherwise. On paper the HP regen is awful, but it's not that bad, especially when you have 5 Count, 15 stack Bleed when she has a billion coins per skill. The Attack Power is the real issue here.
2) You might have noticed that I occasionally use EGOs to clash things other than THE GRIPPING/I Will Take Your Life, specifically Cackle. That's because my win rate on clashes is already terrible before the 3+ Attack Power she has and each Cackle that hits brings it up by another point for a possible total of +5. Yeah, I'm not doing that.
3) There are a couple of skills/EGOs that I consider MVPs in this challenge, those are:
- Purify (Heathcliff): when it hits, it can counteract a lot of the attack buff she gets from her passive/Cackle, making clashes much more winnable. If you hit multiple times with this, you're run is probably going to go cleaner.
- THE GRIPPING (Faust): The damage boost from the 3rd hit is great, but next turn Paralyze from the second (heads) hit also helps fantastically with locking down clashes on future turns.
- Zealous Purge (Rodion): A decent clash tool and the Fanatic stack you get from winning clashes will help your next turns clashes even more. The guaranteed Paralyze next turn on the 2nd hit is also fantastic if you failed to hit with the first hit (and still triggers Fanatic)
- You Are Cleansed Of Sin (Meursault): as you should always have a 3-5+ Nails on Kromer, the second hit will give her Bind 3 and -1 Attack Power. This is a great amount of control for the next turn's clashes.
- Bodysack (Heathcliff): An amazing EGO that is not only EXTREMELY CHEAP with most of Heathcliff's IDs, but ensures he can clash well both the current turn and the turn due to the Haste/Attack Power buff.
- Chains of Others (Meursault): The ability to instantly shut down an ability you know is coming in advance, specifically I Will Take Your Life, which occurs on the 5th and 10th turns. Use it to clash Cackle on turn 4 and turn 9 and as long as you have another EGO ready, you will never fail to stagger Kromer on Phase 1.
- Pursuance (Meursault): Pursuance and Chains are the reason I'm constantly using Drive, as its the only Sloth skill on the entire team. I never got the chance to use a second Pursuance, but I was trying to prep in case I needed to - the 30% HP heal on two allies at Uptie III is very powerful, unfortunately, Kromer's numerous skill slots demanded use of Meursault's S2 and S3 much more than his S1. If a future N-Corp Sinner has a Sloth S1 or S2, then they will be a strong archetype with the ability to consistently heal. For now you can add G-Corp Outis as a 3rd unit as her deck/EGOs syngergizes and provides access to a wider variety of EGOs/more consistent use of the ones we do have.
- Fluid Sac (Faust): ....I don't have Fluid Sac yet, but if I did, it would have also made this run easier as a backup heal to Pursuance. Hex Nail is probably usable also, pretty sure I just forgot about it lol.
Phew. This was a fun challenge. I've got a few more videos I want to upload with some other comps, namely N-Corp vs Sacristy (same run as this one) and Burn Bros abnormality duo fights (Liu Meursault and Gregor). I'm not crazy enough to do Burn vs Kromer though, no way lol.
Maybe also W-Corp/R-Corp hybrid comps if I can get my hands on either W-Don and W-Meursault sometime soon (and use the other one from Friend Support). Although just the idea of doing Kromer with W-Corp's terrible clashes makes me kinda hesitant, I can sorta already see what I'd need to do to get it done - namely using Meursault's Chains of Others along with either Faust's S3 Overcharge (ATK down/paralysis debuff) or Don Quixote's S3 Rip Space to clash the two Cackles on turn 4 before using either another Chains of Others or Hex Nail to win the clash against I Will Take Your Life on turn 5. Shouldn't be as hard as I'm imagining, as I won't have to deal with the +3 ATK nonsense that I had to deal with using only N-Corp Sinners.
Guess we just wait for Refraction Railway next. I look forward to what Limbus' more challenging content has to offer in the future!
EDIT: Looks like I was just in time. Kromer is getting nerfed and N-Corp Sinners are getting buffed with the April 1st update:
- of Signs obtained will reduce her buffs/healing
- Faust's Execution wasn't adding the +50% damage to targets with 5+ Nails effect
- Rodion's Ironclad Retribution wasn't adding the +15% Fanatic damage effect.

Ironically, I think he would won that clash either way due to Meursault's Chain of Others, but I'll let him be - he got his chance to shine after being a Gloom battery and waving his bodysack around all fight.

Faust as The One Who Grips (her keyboard) is just too strong for poor Kromer...That's why I had them clash every single Gripping lol.
And woah woah woah. Now I love The Odyssey as much as the next nerd, but we'll have to wait see if SS Outis can outperform G-Corp/LCB Outis before we start assigning the odyssey more purpose 😎. Ideally, she'll bring some Lust along with more Gluttony so she can power her own Ebony Stem in a Seven Section team.

The internal struggle of N Corp, sounds interesting for lore
Kromer’s “you must accept the pain!” Passive nerf doesn’t work in phase 2. How ironic, it’s bugged out of our favour this time.
On a Sidenote: Her first phase is incredibly easy with N-Corp units (without faust) now. The nerf + Heathcliff’s “Purify” coin drop means she can’t win most clashes or deal any damage. It’s an actual pushover lmao. I was even able to beat the entire battle without winning the event and first try. They miiight need to buff the nerfed or nerf the buffed.
To be fair, everyone was uptie 3 and I was using Outis + Kurokumo Hong Lu, but it’s still a really easy phase regardless.

Kromer did. As of the Don's Telepole patch, Kromer now loses +1 ATK Power and 5% HP regen when under Burn/Bleed for every copy of "A Sign" you obtain in the 3-22 dungeon. Naturally, this means that if you get all 3, then Burn/Bleed teams no longer have (what was perceived as) a significant disadvantage.
I don't think it was THAT bad. It wasn't that hard to beat it with all N-Corp, so I can't imagine one or two Bleed or Burn units making her completely impossible unless you're either:
a) EXTREMELY underleveled (and this can be done as low as Level 15 if you really want as long as all Sinners are U3)
b) convinced you do not need to understand the basic fight mechanics

@@warlockwarlord169 No worries there, I should actually have a guide up in a few days that breaks it down step by step - with moves to look out for and a good number of known counters to them.
Going through reddit and other boards has led me to believe that most people both underestimate and yet overmystify the fight's mechanics.
I hope to alleviate that somewhat. And who knows, maybe I'll keep it up. This video is my most popular one (on a time basis) by far.
