    Another superb video! The method you use to put the first layer of clay into the stamp is so much faster than the way I have been doing it. Now I am excited to do some Sutton slice! I did feel that a couple of the stamps were so detailed that they didn't show enough of the rainbow pattern, which took time to make. But the powders make up for that, love the effect. Thank you so much again for a very good teaching aid. xoxo

    This may be a silly question, but I'm new to the clay world n am overwhelmed by all the techniques, types of clay etc...I'm wondering exactly what I could make out of something like this? They're absolutely gorgeous but I don't think I'm fully understanding the need for the rainbow pieces behind the textured if u place pearl ex on the surface? I still can't get over how pretty these are! I hope to hear back from anyone who can answer, but in the meantime I'm subscribing and checking out all your other amazing tutorials!

    Water works good to keep texture sheets and stamps from sticking to the clay. But does not work with metallic clays. They get sticky. A sprints of water is all it takes. Been using it for years! Best tip I have

      Actually, no, she does not tell you the name of the powder in the info. It is called Mica Powder. Different companies sell it. Pearl Ex is one but Ranger Perfect Pearls is another that has a binder in it so it will stick when a mist of water is applied. Search Amazon but be sure to put Ranger in the description so you will get one with binder! Good luck!

    Подскажите,пожалуйста какие глины после запекания остаются гибкими?

    • @SweetyBijouPro
      @SweetyBijouPro  Před 5 lety

      Наталья, тут надо экспериментировать с температурой! Я рекомендую сделать тест на прочность по температуре, а не по времени. Время выставлять 20-30 минт, но при этом обязательно пользоваться термометром! Я запекаю глину (практически любую) при температуре 150"С. Но с белой глиной надо быть аккуратнее легко может пожелтеть! Моя любимая глина это марка Премо!

    • @SweetyBijouPro
      @SweetyBijouPro  Před 5 lety

      Еще гибкость зависит от толщины изделия! Если толщина не более 4 мм - браслет, нпаример, будет гибким! Чем толще, тем менее гибким!

    What kind of Colour you use

  • @coal4k
    @coal4k Před 7 lety

    You missed a step. After you peel back the mold, you have to shave off the raised part of the pattern: that's what reveals the colors underneath. You curve your tissue blade, and cut off thin slices of the (in your case black,) clay, until the whole top is level, and the colors show through. Try it, you'll really like how it looks!

    • @SweetyBijouPro
      @SweetyBijouPro  Před 7 lety +1

    Nicely done. Have you tried it the other way, using the colored clays in the texture mat and the black (or any base color) as the background? I've seen videos from others (I can't spell the names) where the colors impressed into the clay were deliberately placed to fit the designs. I'll try to find one and put her name in a comment for you, so you can see what I'm saying. I like the Cool Tools textures also, and have many of them now.

      Really ??? Have you ever heard of each artist having his/her own style ?

      I think you misunderstood. I was serious, I had never seen it done that way and was impressed. Not critical. I'm sorry you thought I was, but I love Ludmilla Bakulina's work. I was only suggesting that there are many different ways. Perhaps you could have included a link to some of yours. I am not good enough at this craft yet, and am always looking for new ideas and new videos to watch.

      О, мне нужны такие ссылки (выше я уже оставила коммент). Я живу в Израиле и не всегда есть возможность ехать в центр страны, чтобы сделать нужные покупки. А в моем городе таких магазинов нет. Т. более, что в магазинах не всегда есть то, что хочется. Да и цены кусаются очень. Люда, если есть возможность, дайте, пожалуйста, несколько ссылок: по катологу ведь можно будет выбрать )))

    If you want to use photopolymer stamps, then you just spray water on a photopolymer (silicone) stamp, and spray water on the top of your polymer clay, then it shouldn't stick

      With this technique it doesn't help!)) Here it needed to stick - clay to the texture sheet, but not completely! If I watering the texture -, yeah, it will not stick to it, I know))
