David Gedge is a legend. Wonderful rendition.
I don't think the boy Gedge has ever written a bad song. Superb.
👍
THIS IS STUNNING. A Song that has always stuck with me since buying “Seamonsters” in 1992.
This version is both intimate and soaring… those harmonies wrapped around David’s emotive vocals are heavenly.
Thanks for posting.
30 years went so fast. I am stil in love with the Seamonster album.
Me too. Soundtrack to my 20’s. It’s melancholic listening to these songs now.
Always been my favourite song. Davids vocals on this version are superb. Just wow 😍
The irony is that as a result of covid-19 a great song has become something stunningly beautiful.
I love this version.
That was beautiful. Not a bad track on Seamonsters in fairness, they're all epic.
WOW, what an amazing version of such a beautiful song. I could never place why I loved this song so much, I could never place the protagognists in the lyric or in relation to the wider seamonsters. The song remains etherial, a safe harbour, stolen moments in a bed, a warm interior vs a snowbound exterior and the calm after a storm. I guess I love the mystery.
This is sublime.
Can’t believe it’s almost 30 years since I last saw them live in Glasgow. Where does the time go? Still love listening to their music and remembering good times.
Tho should have a million views. It’s a wonderful song, and this version is beautiful.
I always thought this was a beautiful, moving song. The ending has always been perfect.
What a gorgeous song.
A beautiful emotionally moving song.
That look at the camera at the end. Knowing. Poignant.
Quite possibly one of the most beautiful Wedding Present recordings I have heard. Thank you
what an amazing version of a brilliant and emotive song, thank you TWP
This is so good, makes me emotional just listening to it.
You’re not alone on that. It makes me think about the 30 years that have passed since it was released.
Love it !!!
Genius, just fantastic.
Stunning!
Oh my! How good is THIS!
Very.
Magic
Majestic
Absolutely gorgeous. I love this!
Will these latest songs come to Spotify like the last set?
Beautiful. Sublime. Well Done.
Wonderful
Brilliant
A beautiful version of a beautiful song
Gorgeous version
is some time now since this "live " and i return to it often- beautiful - and was a great end to the day - but has transcended that now - isn't it lovely how music, words, meaning mutate over time - how shadows get sharper , fuzzier- how peace fills the gaps of rage
Oh, that was good to listen to! Saw The Wedding Present live in Galway city in 1993. Wasn't the 90s just so much better?
This is a good one. Would be better as 'some drops of snow' though rather than 'some bits of snow'. Otherwise, top marks.
BTW, is that De Castro on geetar? I admire De Castro!
