  • This video evaluates the T-Wolves eliminating the reigning champion Nuggets. You’ll hear the key facts about the Timberwolves danger that you must know. Also, in the aftermath of Minnesota moving on, stick around for a breakdown of the key plays amidst a championship caliber twin city comeback. From being down 20 to going up by double digits, the way this never to be forgotten comeback was capped off, was why it was so memorable. With both an early and late series eradication of a mile high system that just seemed invincible- maybe Minneapolis is the city to bring back the dynasty era. I wonder what that will take?

    Here is something I messed up. It is actually the 2nd time as oppose to the 1st where 6 different teams have won the title in 6 seasons, not the first. This twitter link shows you how I made the mistake. x.com/DflowHoops/status/1792703571453952327. It is still an incredibly rare feat, but just wanted to clear things up.

    They are a team that knows all of their roles. They step up when the stars can't make their shots. Teams win championships, not individuals. They have a talented bench and amazing defense. Just an amazing series and team to watch. I've been a wolves fan since 1990 and still have my OG warmup jersey. Love it and thanks for the vids!

    For me the most striking thing is their unselfishness. Towns, an All Star and a Unicorn talent has willingly taken a backseat to Edwards, 5 or 6 years his junior. Reid could have taken more money to start elsewhere. But most obvious is the honest deference and appreciation that Edwards has for his teammates. Even down to end of the bench player Luka Garza who Ant credits for teaching him the Eurostep.

      Thanks for pointing this out. KAT deserves way more credit for his unselfishness. A major reason for why we don't see team ball these days much is because stars let their egos get out of control. KAT's unselfishness is a HUGE factor in this team's success.

    It has to be their defense and the depth of their defense. Legitimately it is one of the better defenses I’ve seen in the modern NBA. They have guys such as Naz Reid that can guard multiple positions. They have rim protection. They have incredible perimeter defense from not only ant and Conley but their wings. They are sound in rotations they are sound in help. This defense is absolutely special. The way they just bullied Jamal Murray in the second half hounding him on the ball. And the final positions where Nikola Jokic was absolutely dominated by naz reid. Really cements this team as an all time great defense. All they need now is the chip. What a season for the wolves.

      Well said. Timberwolves have 8 players in the top 40 for defensive win shares. 5 in the top 20. Gobert at 1, Ant at 4.
      They're an all-time team, defensively

      I agree but here is what troubles me. You need to have refs that let you play D. Whenever the refs were calling fouls for just being near Murray or Jokic, we had trouble taking over the game.
      And don't forget that in this series we had a T called on Ant for looking mean after a dunk and none at Murray for throwing 2 things on the floor and for their coach marching in the court and getting in the face of the ref. None!

    • @jjd6477
      @jjd6477 Před 23 dny

      @@TheSilversonGR yea man your definitely right about that it’s really scary. Because the wolves defense is about beating guys to the spot on drives. Sound help defense and that worries me with a lot of refs because this isn’t the same NBA from the early 2000’s. A lot more is called not the officiating these playoffs had been flat out bad. So that definitely worries me too

    I believe one of the twovles most special attribute this year is there defence with players like Rudy gobert and Naz reid but i think there best attribute are there role players who all are 2 way monsters like Jaiden Mcdaniels, MIke conley and the 6th man of the year Naz reid

      Butlers been gone 6 years tf. He’s never put a fire under anyone, he’s a selfish diva.

    • @lightbeforethetunnel
      @lightbeforethetunnel Před 23 dny +5

      Butler didn't put fire under anyone. I was there for all that. He made a fool of himself, doing everything a leader shouldn't do. Blaming everyone but himself (as the highest paid player on the team), making a public spectacle of teammates, not going to them first, falsely lumping KAT in with Wiggins and others (who lacked motivation, etc) just because they're both young #1 picks.
      KAT has proven himself and proven Butler was in the wrong about all that many times over. Butler is a talented 2-way guard but he brings locker room problems to every team he goes to. It's why he kept getting traded despite having talent. Good GMs realize talent only goes so far if you're going to totally destroy the chemistry of a team.
