Wow, your stock brake line failed after only 3 years?!? That's insane for a safety of life system like that. Glad you survived that incident. I'm making note to replace the stock lines on any future bike I get.

Weather has a lot to do with how long these brake lines last. I purchased the street glide in Minnesota and temps during the winters dropped to -20 degrees… Now I live in Arizona where temps reach 115 degrees in the summer… upon inspection, it looked the the material vulcanized and became brittle then cracked… I was lucky no one was at the 4 way stop when I blew through it😳

Nice video. I just picked up a used 2016 Street Glide special myself in the charcoal denim. I plan to do a lot of upgrades this upcoming year.

Nice. I'm about to do this on my Ultra, but you lost me. I have bled my own brakes but I have not changed brake lines, and tbh, I am not 100 sure on how the various components function. And what EXACTLY is the "reservoir?"
And HOW exactly, while changing lines, does one maintain a level of fluid...where exactly?f

So you do have ABS brakes ? I have them But I can't put my apehangers on because of the plumbing , at the 5 way under the goose neck there are no fittings

@@spiderbrandt4066 My suggestion is look at your service/repair manual for the brake system diagram and note the part number. There should be an aftermarket kit that allows you to add extended brake lines for an ape hanger install.
Here's what I found for an example:
      hillcountrycustomcycles.com/build-your-own-custom-dyna-fat-bob-2012-2017-prewired-ape-hangers-handlebar-diy-kit.html
If they make a kit for your Fat Bob, then there is way to dot it!

Magnum sheilding.com byo brake line kits. I just finished making my own brake lines. Cause I own a vrod and there are no extension kits for ape hangers. I had to make my own wiring harness. Throttle and idle cables, brake lines and clutch line. I can't hold a candle to the brokechanic though.
