Maybe the key to beating the Chiefs is to double team Kelce. Make another Chief beat You. Maybe the way to take Mahomes out of the equation is to make him throw into double coverage. Make the Chiefs running game beat you and to keep the pressure on Mahomes. Make sure if You're on defense, not to let Mahomes throw any easy throws and to eliminate all His open wide receivers. Make the running back do all the work as a way to wear out the running back. Double team Kelce and Make Mahomes throw into double coverage and to keep the pressure on Mahomes relentlessly. Been saying this for past year now, looking back, Raiders secondary has rarely been beat deep since Moehrig was inserted at FS. Frankly, can’t think of a single play where we got beet on a deep TD? Probably why Carl didn’t show us any!
Sure, he’s not a true enforcer type, but he’s damn savvy and has done a fantastic job keeping the lid on shit downfield.
2021 Draft Class we got 3 starters on Defense (top 10 Defense last year), not a bad draft, we just bombed on our first pick.

His break out year better be this year, he got skill just taking time to develop into that tcu safety I guess he better show up tho if he want that extension
Moehrig is above avg to excellent at stopping the run. The defensive scheme he played in during college fit his skill set, but he is below avg at coverage. If he doesn't dramatically improve this year, he will be gone by this time next year. Hope he makes it, but I doubt it.

At work we have these industrial magnets that when you turn them on, you don't wanna have your fingers anywhere near between them and the steel they're attracted to. Tre'von has to be like the magnet and the football a hunk o' steel. Anything between him and it... "Smash!"
I am one if the guys nit convinced on him. He is a high risk/high reward player. Imo that is someone who plays any other position because the safety is there to back you up if you fail on a high risk play.
He is doing a lot better with the current system. I am glad to see that, hopefully he keeps proving me wrong. I just remember the season when we lost Gruden and Moehrig was getting shown up by Leavitt who was a special teams gunner and really only should have played safety when injuries occurred.

Moerig still seems a little slow to react, a little lost at times, and a little too passive for me.
Maybe it's his personality, maybe it's coaching, like I said, I don't know...
I thought, even though flawed, Abram was better, and I still miss KJ
Moehrig needs to make a resounding impact this season, or he will go the way of the formers.
He's played in too many defenses for too many coordinators. That's part of why I think he breaks out this year.

Carl, say what you want but I'm not impressed by Moehrig, he's just not felt enough for a safety, he never makes big plays like a true ball hawk, he's too quiet for my taste. It's as if he tries to stay out of the way as much as possible instead of trying to make big stops happen!😮
He shut down the deep ball his rookie year he didn't allow anything, year 2 he was injured in a new system & he did good last year & the picks started to come too
He's good with the potential to be great, we had absolute garbage at safety for years he's under appreciated if anything
