Actually, Adam Butler lead the Raiders defensive line with the most double teams. Of his 350+ snaps he was double-teamed 186 times. He is playing his most consistent in his career. Remember him, Jenkins and Wilkins all played for both Patrick Graham and d-line coach Robby Leonard in Miami. They are playing as a unit and getting better. He has a quick burst and violent hands at attack. He has a hezzy move at the snap of the ball to beat most centers. Always enjoy your videos.

At some point, the Raiders will need a big boy at DT to supplant Jenkins, who’s been another great addition. Also, watching the rest of DL in these clips shows how good Koonce has been. Way beyond solid. Ever since AP took over in the last 9 games, the Raiders had the #1 scoring defense in the league. Opponents scored a whole 7 points less after the regime change and ended up top 10 for the season. Sacks and turnovers went up too. Not nearly enough INTs but lots of fumble recoveries. A healthy Wilson, the addition of Wilkins, and a full off-season for Jack Jones should make for an incredible D if injuries aren't too much of an issue.

I was sayin it all along that Adam Butler led the D's resergence along with Jack Jones, and of course Maxx and Malcom Koonce. I will withold judgement on Tyree, many look good in camp, what matters is when the season starts and the real games begin.
Oh yeah. This unit has a very good chance of being #1 in total defense and #1 in sacks. If Tyree is even 20% better than the end of last year - and he probably will be - and if Koonce continues his breakout, which seems highly likely, then with Jones for the full season and Wilkins in the interior, the Raiders defense is scary. Spillane should've been All Pro if you look at his numbers and his plays in crunch time. Moehrig and Epps are solid up top and Jack Jones is a playmaker. We already know about Maxx.

I know PG has TW inside right now and probably why TW bulked up so he can handle the inside but PG has said it’s only so he can improve his hands and then they will move him to the edge. I think right now he may be a little heavy and might lack speed at his new weight but only time will tell..

Butler will get fewer double-teams w/Wilkins beside him, increasing his sacks, and edge pressures by Crosby, Wilson and Koonce

Butler is probably going to benefit butler more than Crosby , they’ll be double teaming Wilkins which will open up the middle more than the edge
