i love that album. i liked the fact that it was a change in direction and it did more for alison's voice and allowing will gregory to go into places i think that was always in him.

It's beyond rare to love every song on an album, but Seventh Tree achieved that for me.
I had lost someone close to me around the time it leaked and it was such a cathartic experience coming down from the glitz that was Supernature

This was the track that made me sit up and listen to Goldfrapp, I'm usually late to get into a band. Mark Radcliff played it and since then, gone back through their catalogue, still don't own a few of their earlier albums mind.

I've been listening to Seventh Tree and Tales Of Us this afternoon. Exquisite music. I don't know how the writing is split between Will and Alison; I assume Will is responsible for the sumptuous instrumentals and Alsion is as creative as Kate Bush with the vocals and lyrical ideas (beautiful voice). So many of these tracks could have been Bond themes.
