  • Heading into what is the most crucial season of his tenure leading South Carolina's football program, Shane Beamer has proven time and time again that he can both handle and often succeed in close games. Compared to two of his SEC coaching peers in Sam Pittman of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Eli Drinkwitz of the Missouri Tigers, Beamer clutch gene throughout his early years in Columbia may bring good reason for Gamecock fans to be optimistic this Fall. Why could that be the case? Andrew discusses how Shane's gameday coaching ability could help Carolina in several toss-up games in 2024, the one negative trend Beamer must buck, and the soundbite South Carolina men's basketball coach Lamont Paris gave in a recent social media post that may have indicated what his team will do in terms of play style next season!

Andrew, glad to see you still hanging in there and doing good. I'm fixing to have surgery soon but i wish you the best in your transition. Where can i find Phil Steele's college football publication. Haven't seen it at Wal-Mart etc.

For basketball, What’s better younger and more talented? Or older and more methodical?

I really think Lamont Parris is going to pan out. I think Gamecock athletics is headed in the right direction. There will be bumps in the road , but we're not far off.

I don't see us winning 6 games this year Andrew!Unless.....The OL and DL both have improved dramatically from the last couple of years! We have got to get at least 150 yards a game rushing and the DL needs to hold the other teams rushing down to below 150 yards a game! Also we need to get off the INJURY TRAIN! Just too damn many injuries!I truly hope that we can improve on all of these things this season!I'm getting to old for all this DRAMA and LOSING! Be safe my friends peace out and...... Go Gamecocks Go Ride Gamecocks Ride! Hello from Iowa tonight!

The O line should be much improved given they don’t have the injuries they had last year (12 total starting 8 different combinations) I don’t know why they had so many but I think they should have changed something up
The D line asked for more depth and got it on the interior and edge so I think they will be really good too.
Also I think rushing will be much better between the added RBs, WR Jared brown did a lot out of the backfield and obviously Sellers can run very well.

Walt , i think your wishes will be granted. To what extent i don't know. I believe the defense will be very solid. They will have to run ball better and rhey will. I am guardedly optomistic. Someone's got to win and why not us. We must have a solid game plan and play with confidence and clean excecution. Let's get that 4-0 start and ride that momentum. Go Gamecocks and God Bless.
