  • How to replace backglass on 1996 f150 - very simple to do this with 2 people you can do it by yourself if you have to. removing and installation shouldn't take more than 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure your rubber seal is clean and use plenty of soapy water to remove and install to avoid damage to the seal. should you have any questions feel free to comment and we will reply back as soon as we can.
Also this same process will work for other makes and model rubber mounted back glass on pickups. if you enjoyed and would like to see more click that subscribe button.

Thanks so much for this video! I went from spending hours trying to put in my barn door window with a trim tool to popping it right in with a 3/16" nylon rope in about 3 minutes. Fantastic knowledge, gentlemen! My restoration of my 1989 GMC suburban is underway!

Thanks for this vid guys! I want to swap out my fixed window for a slider. The tricky part for me is that I have a cap almost permanently fitted on the box as I have converted it into a camper. Having watched this I’m pretty sure I can do it with the cap in place. The removal process is the only part where it looks like you’d need to pull the window back further but I can cut the rubber if I have to. Fitting the new one I can slide it in between cap and cab and then do as you did. The cap has a sliding window so I can reach through to push on the cab glass. I want to have a reach through from the camper section into the cab. 👍🏻

Thank you guys!!! I got mine installed on a 91 f250, was by myself but used a suction cup type dent puller and a tire iron with the rope to reel it in. Again thanks for the vid!

Such a simpler time these days you have to deconstruct a vehicle just to remove the glass

I mean as long as the metal sill is the same yes. I'm not sure how it was mounted but as long as it's not altered and clean I wouldn't see why not

Yes I have replaced several and unless you are skilled with the tool that cuts the glue i would get the attachment blade that goes on sawzall it kind of looks like a puddy knife
