- In this mini series, we'll look at the cars in Gran Turismo 2 that had the option to have Racing Modifications fitted to them, as well as looking at what these Race Modifications cars would become in later instalments. As some Race Modification cars would return, some wouldn't and others would in different ways.
In GT1 and GT2 Racing Modifications basically turned road cars into race cars by adding weight reduction 3 and changing a few other things, as well as adding a livery to the cars, as well as body kits.
Admittedly we can do all these things in GT7, but the cars in GT1 and 2 actually drove like race cars after being modified, same with GT5. You can tune all you want in GT7 but you'll not get that same race car feeling you did in GT1, 2 and 5 with proper race modifications.
Maybe I'm alone in wanting them back, although I did leave a comment in one of naffantait's update wishlist videos that he added in his community wishlist videos and he agreed with me in wanting race modifications back...but also said we didn't really need them, which I guess is true. But that was last year, now I think we can all agree that we just want more stuff to do in GT7, and an upgrade to the tuning would be fun!
50+ likes!? Guess I better get to work on part 2!
Ok so a bit of a different kind of video. If you like this mini series, like the video! And if we get 20 likes I'll make a part 2! This video took me a little longer to make so I'd need to know if its something people like!
I actually recorded this back in March but didn't really know how to approach this little mini series, but I think I got the right idea.
Racing Modifications have been a feature in GT1, GT2 and GT5. Completely different from the standard tuning we have, as well as being different to engine swapping. It's maybe not something we NEED in GT7...but there are PLENTY of road cars in GT7 that had fictional race car variants in past GT games so...I'd like to see them be added in the form of race modifications, that I know won't happen, but a boy can dream!
This video only further shows why GT2 is the 🐐.
@@tespenkr9924 Yeah! Though I didn't even play GT2 until I was a teen and had played 3 through 6, but I still love GT2 a lot more than many games after it.
I remembered a lot that 2/3 of all 720 cars in GRAN TURISMO 2 (including Project A SPEC MOD) can be race modified. On GT5, ONLY 17 OF THE 1088 CARS CAN BE RACE MODIFIED!
I feel it is an injustice that the FTO (namely the LM/Super Touring) has not returned to the series..
I wanted to see more classes and gen models of Mercedes in newer GT games. There’s more now in GT7 but it still would be nice to see a better variety.
But it would take longer to appear because making car models in game takes longer than ever.
It’s not like the GT2 era where the polyphony studio can make a car model in one day.
It has also feature later in the future sequels in PS3, PS4 and PS5.
I hope GT7 have race modification returning.
Na we can allready upgrade street cars to the point they are race modified spec we dont need a race modification option ...
@@MiguelPerez-eh3on You can upgrade them, but they sure as hell don't drive like race cars. And imagine rejecting an idea for new content for a game as dry as yer nan's clunge like gt7. Gurl plz
I dont think Lotus would be in Gt7 since the company got taken over by China before Gt7 could even get hold of them
Probably not, but with Skoda being added, gotta stay optimistic!
@@solsticecity fair enough, i want to drive the iconic Esprit Turbos and Lotus Evoras
@@hybridAbsol I'd like them and some Elise's too!
I think it’s dead, the Evija is never coming and they just brought it to let China gain more assets and technology for their pending pacific domination or whatever they’re planning
