How to maximise credits for the DLC:
1. Get gold on all 10 challenges.
2. Get diamond on 9 challenges.
3. Spend all of your money.

i'd love to see lewis react to people beating his times and talking about what he did "wrong". although i'm quite sure a lot of it was because he didn't do gamey things like abuse track limits and fly off curbs.
When you drive in real life, you are more accustomed to think about risks involved with making mistakes. I think a lot of fast times are set by ppl who play sim racers because they don't have the concept of risks involved with pushing your car to the limit all the time. Most people will be 3-5 seconds slower irl.

Cal3000 EXACTLY. I’m SpeedOfLight27, and I’m usually on the top 10 board, while the top 2-3 are driving unrealistically. I race US F4 and I only drive how I would in real life, on GT. The results show in the race, I’m just smooth as hell and I pull away
You think GT is bad? Watch forza the absolute abuse of physics the best use in that game lmao! Bruh they smash down that handbrake to turn more sharply sometimes, abuse of mechanics is real.

At Monza, because he's always slower on the straights, I feel like GTSport just slowed him down to make him time easier to reach. It makes no sense for him to be any slower
@@charles-antoinemartel-roy He shifts too early. My guess is he doesn't play this game regularly and was told that when the RPM gauge starts flashing to shift, when in reality you can go a little bit further.

@@theoxne3166 In reality you could go further for better lap times but you risk wearing out the car. Real drivers concentrate on more than just lap times alone, you have to manage your car more than in a game, and power trails off at the end of the rev range. If you look at a power graph you will see that most cars' power peaks before it hits the max or the redline.

The reason he's good on Willow springs is because it's the only circuit where you can't absolutely murder cut every corner
I really don't see it like that. It is true what you're saying about not being able to cut but he lap was simply nailed there. His laps weren't totally nailed at other places, disregarding corner cuts.
The sensation of speed on the Nurbergring on this game is insane. I thought the footage was sped up

Everytime when I think to myself how Gran Turismo finally became a little more realistic through the years I see a car behaving like that C9 on Nordschleife and I’m like “yep, still way off”.
It’s super surprising how fast Lewis actually is, considering he would’ve spent a day (max) for all 10 tracks.
Considering that he actually played it.... Probably he just allowed the usage of his name, image and voice. I believe he recorded those lines but not the gameplay.

He used to play racing games way back but for a guy that doesn't play racing games or even the sim vs people who just learn how much steering input you need and are used to racing like this yeah I was actually amazed. Thought he'd get beaten 1st or 2nd time on each of them considering how much superGT plays and Lewis probably flew in for a few hours to meet people, understand how it was gonna work, record everything, let alone it isn't the same as his sim setup which he probably doesn't even have.

Well I think the reason he is so fast on willow is because it’s the only track where we can’t gain on him though knowledge of track limits and cutting :p
But to be fair he has set very good laps and if it was a race with tyreware he would be very hard to beat. He is so smooth though every turn, never sliding or hurting the tyres at all! It’s so cool to watch the precision he brings, always on the limit and never crossing it, and still banging good lap times. But overdriving the car is faster in gt sport. Think if he did the same in iracing he would be super hard to beat, especially because breaking is so easy in gt sport.
its not corner cutting if you aren't awarded the penalty, low ranked E, D, C drivers don't use the full width of the track because they are not aware of the track limits thats why they are slower
Charles Szasz true.... at the end of the day thats what separates the best from the rest, if you drive over some of those curbs the wrong way it will upset the balance of the car and possibly cost you 2+ seconds worst case senario you go flying off the track, it does take a lot of skill to drive near track limits without going onto the grass, hitting the wall or spinning
@@tiduspain9594 The track limits are pretty lenient in GT sport compared to real life. And he probably didn't have to time to learn how to abuse all of them.

For me a pad is faster because you dont have to rotate a wheel...you just have to move your thumb 😅
@@matzeherd1343 The problem is the little adjustments.... With both the wheel and more importantly, the brakes and throttle.
I'm using a controller as well, so far only Diamond on Monza and gold on everywhere else but Panorama (I really hate this track). I'm really close to Diamond on Dragon Trail, Suzuka and Interlagos.

I don’t Lewis was trying many laps, he just used his natural skill while you have practiced a lot. He also goes into the simulator to practice for real life version of going as fast as it possible. You keep mentioning Albon as if Hamilton did not say sorry for the incident, well he did apologise and admit it and move so should you.
He is also acting as Albon blessed, unfortunately in real life Albon doesn’t have the pace of Hamilton. If Hamilton practiced a lot of the game, he would beat all times the CZcamsr has set.

You and Lewis are both insane, well done! i have also bought this amazing DLC and I barely made all of these challenges on silver with controller. My nightmare was definitely Bathrust, where I was losing so many time in the fucking narrow corners in the middle of the track, so I had to increase controller sensitivity to make this one and I enjoyed mostly Nordschleife, because Sauber Mercedes is my favourite car from GT Sport.

That SLR Mclaren challenge on the Nordschleife was awful. The SLR was near-impossible to keep on the track. Apparently it handles just as murderously in RL.
Please dont EVER make me relive those childhood memories again. I don't think I've ever made it...

I always love your videos I never watched racing but when you explain it it’s much more interesting you really understand where you lose a couple of tenths of a second how important the breaking zones are and so on and that something you never get on watching a normal race
I'm so new to GT Sport its gonna take me along time to get up to speed but its great to see these sort of TT's in the game. Takes me back to the Vettle TT's in GT5 to win the RedBull 2010.
I found out today that if you absolutely mince his lap time he says something like- ‘no way! How did you do that?’
Most players would answer "By cornering fast over high curbs that would cause car parts to brake in real life"

Wouldn't say the Lewis Hamilton challenge is a cakewalk. S. Vettel challenge was infamously difficult on the Suzuka circuit. Monza was the easiest one. But the whole challenge was by no means easy.

Brilliant idea adding this to the game, DLC well worth the money! It's a lot of fun & a good way to quickly improve in so many areas. I managed to get gold on all the challenges using a controller, annoyingly i'm a few tenths off from diamond on majority of them 🤢 i just got my first sim rig & these challenges are helping a tonne to help me get better & be faster than i am on controller. With some practice & the help of your well detailed tips Steve, i'll be getting those diamonds in no time. Appreciate the vid my dude, thanks in advance 🤝

I’ve watched this video multiple times, but only recently got my hands on a PS4 and GT Sport. To everyone that hasn’t played this dlc and thinks it’s easy, it is not. Lewis is a 7 time world champion for a reason. My best result is silver on Monza. I’ve never felt more inadequate in my life

I wonder if he has TCS set to the default, particularly at Monza. I also wonder if he is slower through turns like 130r at Suzuka because he knows what it is like IRL and there are things that are not represented in game that he is avoiding.

If you drive the CTR3, it has very similar characteristics. Works really well if you coast through the corners and understeers very hard on stock settings.

Just tried the challenge this past week on a GT LITE rig with a g923 and only got diamond in Monza and Nordschleife. Still have a lot to learn!!!
