- Hi
Here is a look at what my summer kit consists of. You don’t really get to see everything I carry in my backpack but here is a look at exactly what I carry. I like to keep things that are budget friendly and light weight. I have added as many links as I can below to the items I use.
Enjoy

Tent looks mint, just after some light weight options, quilt is a must. Looks like im going shopping cheers
Thanks derek. I thought it would be good to show what I use and take as it’s good when looking at what to purchase and that. I’m running this set up all summer and I love it as it’s warm with loads of space. Thanks for watching 😃
Thanks for the share-always worth looking in on what others are doing with their gear. I got some decent ideas there. Appreciated. Mark
That’s true. We all have different stuff and it’s nice to see what others use etc especially when starting out or changing kit. Great stuff and thanks for watching 😃
@@MarkOutdoors_ For sure I agree. I was looking at tweaking ideas. A pleasure Mark. Peace.
Nice one Mark 👍
Think I might take a trip the Montane shop tomorrow 🤔
It’s a great shop and dangerous at times as they can be so many good stuff in haha
@@MarkOutdoors_ lol I resisted today but maybe next week 😂
Great video! Given me some ideas of what to buy for wild camping this summer 👌🏻
Thanks Dave. I hope it helps by showing what I take and use on my camps. Thanks for watching 😃
Thats a very lightweight setup mate, I bet you could pretty much buy all that gear to for the same price you would pay for a durston xmid 1/2.
I think if they bring a 1man out in this tent I will buy one, as much as I struggle with the space in my helm1 you can pretty much pitch it anywhere because of how small it is. Looking forward to my chilli con and trying out the new brs stove when im next out! ATB pal and thanks for the mention , topman!
Hallo mate. Yeah you’re right the price of a tent would be the price of all this. They have a 1 man version out and both that and the 2 man version are the same foot print at the Durston too. I like my Lanshan for pitching it anywhere as it’s so small like the helm which is great. I hope you enjoy it and happy wild camping. Thanks for watching 😃
I can't wait for this one...
Thanks man. I mentioned you in this one too. I also tested the pole the other way round when I was putting it up but it slips too much for me. The tip in the metal eyelet is so secure. I hope you enjoy it anyway 😊
@@MarkOutdoors_ Cool, I've got myself from work some tiny tough plastic caps that I'll try and put over the spike end of my trekking poles once they are through the eyelet.
@@camping_guru_uk a great idea that. I have modified my inner since this video so it’s now adjustable so I can get it really taught when pitching but also I only have to peg out the outer fly as it’s attached to guy line points at the same place. It will be in one of my videos in a few weeks. Once I’m happy I’m going to give a review of the tent
@@MarkOutdoors_ definitely something I need to do re the pegging points.
Nice tent, must be a nice video too 😁🌞
Thanks you. I do like this tent a lot and with a few little mods to get the inner taught it’s a great budget tent with lots of space
@@MarkOutdoors_ Yes I know I own the same tent, very roomy and easy to use 😁🌞👍
Really nice set up, gave me some good ideas. How much tax etc. did you have to pay on the Ali express stuff?
I never paid tax on the smaller items but I think it’s over £100 when you do. Such as the quilt that was about £105 then with tax and maybe postage £135. The piece includes everything at the end so they is no hidden cost or import fees after. Thanks for watching 😃.
Looks a decent weighted setup that lad. Could save even more by not having everything in there individual bags. I just stuff everything in a nylofume bag.
It’s a nice comfortable one for sure. Yeah you’re right about that. Reducing it by little it’s all add up. Pack change to a frameless pack is 500g and 400g to the Lanshan one. It all adds up in little places doesn’t it. Thanks for watching 😃
I love a good video 😊
Thanks. I thought it would be a good insight into my kit that I use as people often wonder what others use. Thanks for watching.
I have modified the lanshan 2 and has withheld gusts of 55-60 mph winds or so, with the fly toching the ground, and with a few rocks on pegs, , with constant 30-45 mph on a few occasions, what is the max this tent could hold? I am guessing constant of 25mph gusts of 35? it would make a good summer mountain tent, it is a palace!
Which decathlon jacket is it mate?
It’s the mt900. I absolutely love it. I have had it down to a recorded temperature of -8.5 and I was lovely and warm. Here’s a link 🔗 FORCLAZ Men’s Mountain And Trekking Padded And Hooded Jacket - Mt900 -18°C £109.99
