    As long as these malls provide jobs to a lot of Filipinos it's all good!

    for those abroad, this MASSIVE mall is just one of four Mall Compounds built right next to each other.
    I am so excited to find out which mall compound will die out of fame or bankruptcy first.
    The philippines does not have any sense of urban planning, neither zoning. You can build whatever - wherever!
    Thanks HourPhilippinesTV for the vids!

      three decades ago i heard the same thing; out of business, bankruptcy, people are poor and no purchasing capacity, and etc. at that time only a couple of malls are in town. fast forward....go, just see around and figure out! i would see it as glass half full or less from being empty. verdict still out there anyway....

      Im afraid they cant. Locals in baguio are enraged by just the fact that sm baguio is doing a carpark extension. They hate trees being cut down. Then they even want to boycott sm...the only big mall they have. So about ayala having a mall there? Them might hate it even more.

    I'm still hoping that Ayala should also build a massive mall in Northern Luzon particularly in Pangasinan as a centre of business in Ilocos Region. we are so deprived of huge malls like this. Lol 🤣🤣🤣

    Roughly $1.27 Billion in U.S. Dollars. Ayala won't invest if they can't make profit…guessing in 2~3 years even less looks like they are that confident about the current economy.

    • @Hourphilippines
      @Hourphilippines  Před 6 lety

      +em forty they are definitely going to get their investment back with the sale of the few condo buildings being constructed, the rental revenue of the mall, hotel and the call center offices are just gravy! :-)

    • @Hourphilippines
      @Hourphilippines  Před 6 lety +2

      +Philippines/Oz Fun With JLB there is definitely a lot of money and investments floating around but 20% of population still at poverty level, this should improve over time! :-)

    • @freedomfunwithjlbfriends7193
      @freedomfunwithjlbfriends7193 Před 6 lety +2

      Hmm, maybe it will but its in every country and a lot of those people want to be poor rather than contribute to society..

    • @Hourphilippines
      @Hourphilippines  Před 6 lety +3

      +Philippines/Oz Fun With JLB yes i agree its the transition phase from an agriculture based economy into an industrial and service based economy. I dont think people wanted to be poor its more about education, competency and the availability of higher paying jobs. :-)

    • @kimeli
      @kimeli Před 6 lety +1

      not really, metro manila, metro cebu and metro davao has population of only around 16 million, the rest of the country is still very poor.

    • @freedomfunwithjlbfriends7193
      @freedomfunwithjlbfriends7193 Před 6 lety

      Well said but there are still people who want to live an idle life, especially some of the rich, lol. There is richness of spirit and not everyone wants to be materially rich with all the responsibilties that ensue. Thats why we Westerners are now flocking to places like the Philippines.
