In the States our Steakhouse's serve burgers made out of a burger blend but not necessarily actual steak. This is modeled after a burger from a Steakhouse and if it was supposed to be actual steak they would have called it a steak burger instead of steakhouse.
I think "Pub" is overused too much and people expect the best. Steakhouse just represents going to a steakhouse and instead of getting a steak, you "settle" for a burger. That's the way I took it. Though it looks good, it does "look" like a burger I would get from a steakhouse.

Maccas Burgers never look like the Adverts, this burger looks like it was just thrown together with shredded lettuce, they shred the lettuce to use up all the scraps rather than attractive full leaves.
Grinded up meat, fat and cartilage, etc, isn't steak. It used to be steak. It's not reminiscent of steak either. Steak on a bun is a sandwich because it's a whole piece of meat not grinded up meat formed into a patty with (other things) on a bun, which is a burger.
We have that burger in the uk but its so much smaller compared to yours 😂, we dont get 2 quarter pounder patties 😢an probably costs us more money for it
I tried one tge other day and ordered it with extra red onions and extra lettuce and it was ok, nothing to write home about. I prefer HJs by a mile though, you get more bang for your buck.

mate, Maccas just rocks out the same crap ingredients and presents it in different ways to entice and retain the client base. It probably tastes ok, but you need to be fully cognisant they are manipulating you, that's not a conspiracy theory, it's just marketing 101

I only bought it because I had the 20% off app deal. Then also had the free fanta raspberry so ended up with lunch for $11 including mozzarella sticks.
At least you got some lettuce and fried onion! Greggo got jipped and missed out. He did get a sesame seed bun though, which you didn't get. He scored it 1 out of 10 and couldn't finish it because the patties tasted weird. He loves fast food as much as you do, so he wasn't just being fussy. Thanks for taking one for the team but I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy one of these any time soon.

Yeah, I saw that. He also doesn't understand what fried onions are or what a steakhouse burger was, but I agree with him on not giving him the rest of the burger. I find anytime you ask to swap out the bun or anything else, then it messes up their flow and being that it's a new burger for them, they simply forgot. If he would've kept the regular bun and ordered as is, I'm sure he would have gotten the right burger.
Where do you think burgers come from? They literally are steaks that are ground up. They said steakhouse, not steak. Besides, if a fast-food served steak on a bun, it would be more like a fritter - flat and breaded. If you are thinking of a regular NY Strip steak, these fast foods would grill it to death it would taste like shoe leather.
