I know this one is extremely unlikely, but a cover of Bad Apple!! with Saki, Haruka, An, Emu, and Mafuyu would be amazing. A 3D MV would be amazing for it, as I can imagine it starting off normal before switching to silhouettes once the beat drops. Also having the girls choreography and outfits paying omage to the original MV while also having original aspects to it would be so cool. Haruka doing the twirly thing after the teacup shatters would be so cool along with her moving her hand through her hair and mimicking a knife throw would be so cute as well, Emu doing the iconic pose (if you've seen the MV you know what I'm talking about) with the smile would be so cool too, Saki doing the piano playing part is just obvious, An's voice would be perfect for the song, and from what I know, the lyrics would be a good fit for Mafuyu. Mafuyu also has a few associations with apples, so it would make sense for her to get a major part in the MV. I would also imagine the narrative of the MV being the other characters learning of Mafuyu's true nature, with Emu catching on first, An maybe second because of her relationship with Mizuki, with Haruka and Saki being the last to find out. Another cool way of focusing on Mafuyu is maybe the black and white only chaniging with her actions, that would just be a cool storytelling detail. If a vocaloid were to be added, maybe Rin, Meiko, or Luka would be a good pick idk. Also, the outfits they get being omages to the characters in the original video (specifically the silhouettes of Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Flandre, while also having a consisting black and white pallete, for example:
-Mafuyu in a shrine maiden outfit would work well for her and would fit her hairstyle
-An with a similar witch outift to Marisa would just work because man would they get along well if they ever met
-Emu with a similar outfit to Flandre would just be cute (without the christmas light wings lmao)
-Haruka in a maid outfit would be so cute (also because Haruka comes off as very elegant to me and Sakuya's title is literally the "perfect and elegant maid", you get the point)
-Saki was pretty hard to decide an outfit for, I was gonna go with Marisa because blonde but realized it would be a better fit for An. Maybe they both get it or something IDK.
with only colour alterations and maybe one variant, so they probably wouldn't be as unique as what I'm thinking of, but maybe having an outfit where some of those design elements are mixed would be a smart idea, like, maybe just having a Miko outfit and a witch outfit with a small hat or something. Honestly, it would most likley end up with no MV and be like Into the Night (which would be kinda sad TBH). Also, on master level difficulty, the notes would 100% be some kind of rough recreation of the original MV, Colourful pallette would do that for the memes.

Fuck yeah. As a Touhou fan, this would be awesome (seriously, if anyone has any ideas for the outfits please tell me I'm stuck on that part.)

I've been waiting for Tokyo Teddy Bear to be added for a while, it's just one of my immediate song thoughts for a new one, probably as a duet by Nightcord (Mafuyu and anyone else?) or by VBS (I think any pair would work but either Akito or Toya would make sense as at least one of the singers)
I think Tokyo Teddy Bear would fit Mafuyu A LOT, mostly because of the lines "Mother, Father, I'm sorry for everything until now",""I want to be loved" tumbled from my mouth" ,"I'll find a tougher pair of scissors, and cut out my face", "Tell me I need everything but my brain; why not, I don't know", "Ahh, this is still not enough. I need a bigger sewing machine to pierce through my heart", "That's right, I'm gone, I have nothing left, because I was thrown away", "Ahh, shut up. My body's made of lies" and "Can't I change? Do I want to be kept as a pet? Is it all gone? This isn't me!" (Srry if I wrote too much, Mafuyu is one of my fav characters + one of my biggest kins so I'm a Mafuyu enthusiast)

Even though I haven’t listened to any of these songs before, only knew a couple of the bands, and know nothing about Project Sekai outside of your video and the blue/purple haired dude from Twitter, this was still really enjoyable! You seem super passionate about this, and it’s really nice just hearing you talk about what you like. I don’t have any song suggestions myself because I don’t really know the vibes, but I guess a general recommendation outside of Project Sekai is Team O.B.N.N’s covers. They’ve got some vocaloid covers in there, and I’ve been listening to their stuff nonstop. Again, not anything related to Project Sekai, but it’s just an outlet to share a tangentially related vocaloid thing I’ve been vibing to-

I personally think Ergonomic Hero could go to sekaia haha. There is nothing wrong with the lyrics, the song is very rhythmic and easy to trim so that it doesn't get too long. Even if not any cover, Miku and Gumi's version would be great too!

I love all these song suggestions. I, personally, would love straight faced science girl. I talk about the song everywhere and I'd probably say it's, by far, my most listened to vocaloid song over the years. If it get's added I'd literally cry (and I'm not one to cry for small things).
Also, can't wait till they add Underground to the EN version. I just wanna play Underground and admire it's cute 2D MV in game.

Also I'd love to see a project Sekai video where you rank the individual members in a huge ranking list from all the groups! (They could be judged on your personal take on their story, vocals, designs, etc.) I'd love to hear your personal faves! Also an added "Virtual Singer" ranking list would be a nice touch! Especially since there's only 6 of them in game.
My personal list for V-singers would be
1. Miku (I'd get called basic on reddit for this one too)
2. Len
3. MEIKO
4. Rin
5. Luka
6. KAITO (I'd get hate for this if I was on reddit)
That's my project sekai ranking, but my overall favorite in general is MEIKO. I love her design and overall swag. Plus some of her songs just really do it for me. Not to mention "On The Rocks" is such a soothing song. One of the only songs I love KAITO's vocals in too.
I would love to see rotten girl grotesque romance come into the game but I highly doubt it would get added in due to the themes in the song

Honestly, I think most people would be shocked if they gave it to any of the other groups.
Personally I'm glad to have a year of delay because that way I can plan ahead and save up gems for cards/outfits that I really want. As for the songs, some that I want that aren't on the game (or you didn't mention on the video) yet are:
-Childish war: covered by any of the siblings that are in the game (Saki&Tsukasa, Ena&Akito, Rin&Len or Shiho&Shizuku)
-Liar dance: I think Rui's or Mafuyu's voice actors would kill it
-Idola Circus: covered by Leo/Need or Emu and Nene
-Reboot: either covered by Leo/Need or N25
-I wanna be a princess: would perfectly suit Minori or MMJ in general
-Rainbow Girl: covered by N25, especially Kanade since I feel her soft voice would suit the song very well

Funny how you picked VBS for dreamin' night (honestly mood) bc a friend of mine mentioned that Kohane and An's relationship before/highlighted in the Singing in Sync event is exactly like Rosho and Sasara's relationship before Aikata(s) Back Again. Sasara and An having this "if you messed up, I'll cover for you" thing and do anything they can for their partners. Rosho and Kohane wanting to stand by themselves more, but ended up always relying on their partners. Additionally, Rei and Akito's roles are similar as well. While Akito called out An about how she treats Kohane (and have them talk), Rei lead Sasara and Rosho into realizing their mistakes (and also have them talk).

@@twiinsiink I can on desktop, but the copy-paste on songs for iOS in apps like Soundcloud and Spotify is almost non-existent :P The typing method for kanji on phones is also beyond me right now as well - it’s grouped by ending sound (I think) so I have to search thorough each group to find the matching character (￣∇￣)
With very limited knowledge, I'd love to see childish war with akito and ena. Fits their less positive sibling relationship, for lack of a better way of saying it

i was kinda thinking to myself throughout the video, what about a Mizuena duet of Bad girl online? A 2DMV could really accentuate their vocals and designs in a way that'd be reminiscent of the original artstyle while still fitting the two's themes. Who'd be the bad girl online, Hm?
I'd also think maybe a leo/need full group cover with an alt vocal for Honami or Shiho would be cool, but a 3D MV where they rearrange the desks to seem like a "trial grounds" like how it is in the original MV would be really cool! Plus, seeing it switch to everyone's instruments, and the more grungy rock sound would fit them perfectly.

I think that This is The Happiness and Piece Of Mind Committee is in the Japanese version of the game based on videos of its gameplay (I have the EN version so I'm not sure). I'm just a bit disappointed since it's just miku singing it.
Yeah, they added it to the game after I made this video. EN version will be getting it this year!

I want a Tuyu song in the game, even though there not vocaloid but its be so good, the themes in a lot of there songs could fit the groups and omg the 2d music video potential!
(I think, I might be wrong) There are songs in project sekai such as yoru ni kakeru which aren't vocaloid songs, so I think it doesn't matter is Tuyu doesn't make vocaloid music
Tuyu already has 2 songs in the game: Asagao and the commissioned WXS song, I agree more of their music would be great though
tbh with magical girl and chocolate, i think WxS would have matched the vibe better with the vocals being emu and rui (or emu by herself) tho a nene and tsukasa version (or just nene) would be really good to. I will agree with nightcord tho. i love your song selections tho! very much well done

however...
i dont think crypton will ever let rin and len partake in those kinds of songs in universe, maybe the VS version would have them, but i doubt they will be in the sekai version, or any song which ships them, ever...
since cryptons involvement, these kinds of songs dont get in any games or concerts, at least by rin x len...

On Unaware Drunkard, Yoidore Shirazu is just the romanji for the song title! Kanaria composed it!
Even though these are good choices, I think "I'm Glad You're Evil Too" shouldn't make it, as the in-game version would be either the full, 6 minute song of charting, or have more than half the song cut to make it appropiately long. Would be nice if it was practical.
i feel like a lot of maybe even the majority of masa’s songs have pretty vulgar lyrics and project sekai is a game meant for all audiences (i think) but it would be cool to see something like ergonomic hero in there
