2:40 instead of flying the loop back around, when you get to the part where he jumps up; just slide to the left and do a cancel with dodge. You end up landing on the platform to the far left, OR overshoot it, ending up respawning on it
Just managed to do this after two hours of frustration. The hardest bit for me was on the third screen with the spike balls and air currents. After that I don't think it's too difficult. The first few are the worst having to use the pollo glide.
I liked this series a lot more before it forgot that it's not fucking Super Meat Boy. I thought the controls were tight and intuitive before the game started asking me to make nineteen precise movements in a row while dimension swapping every half a second. There comes a point where I find myself pressing R1 at the wrong time just because my finger has started second guessing my brain. The endgame platforming sections of Guacamelee were fun (if admittedly not all that challenging), but this is just tedious trial and error wank. There's no satisfaction at the end of it, just bitter relief. There are too many actions spread across similar inputs in this game to reliably use the right move 100% of the time, and the couple of seconds it takes to reload the area following every death are just one more middle finger in my grimacing face.
@Rob van Kol Are you part of the dev team? A good game design requires skill while NOT being rage inducing (see: Sekiro and Hollow Knight). This section is just pure trash, and if you finished it with no rage it doesn't mean you are good, it just means that you don't value your time and efforts

@@Robkinggozer there is a fine line between challenging and frustrating and this game happens to lean more into the frustrating side. I loved the first game but found this one very underwhelming.
@@vash01251 I'll admit it was frustrating at times but to me that is part of the experience. As long as I like the mechanics, the deaths are not cheap and eventually you can overcome it, I'm fine with it being frustratingly hard some times. I was frustrated with Bloodborne quite a few times and it's my favorite game of all time. Opinions, ey? :)
@@Robkinggozer the thing is i have heart problems so the high levels of frustration this game caused are not good for me this is the part of the game where i quit it for good. Its hard for me to give up on a game ive made a lot of progress on but if fhe game is just not fun and causing a lot of frustration i just move on to something else. Overall fhis game felt like it was missing a certain something from the original game. I 100%ed the first but felt underwhwlmed with this game straight from the beginning.

I'm almost finished with the crucible, but just wanted to check how far I am. Apparently about 2/3 done, didn't look too far to not spoil the rest. But man did they go overboard with these. I remember the first one having really fun challenges and platforming, but I have found I am frustrated and angry most of the time I play this game. Now I only want to finish it for the sake of finishing it.
Why a developer would take the mechanics of a game like Flappy Bird and insert it into a phenomenal game like Guacamelee 2 is beyond me. Pollo Glide is easily the worst part of the game. There are many difficult parts of this game that never break the immersion because the gameplay is so perfect, but this "Pollo Glide" is mind-boggling in its inclusion. 9.5/10 and oh yeah F the Crucible.

As someone who’s played the guacamelee series since 2015, this level was the hardest one I’ve encountered so far, 0:26 was the hardest part for me, just insanely difficult, but apart from that, the other parts were fairly challenging, not anything too bad, but not nearly as difficult as 0:26, this took me around 25 minutes I think
Actually the only part of this that I got stuck was the first one. Before watching the video I thought the other rooms was gonna be even more challenging than the first one but I completed really fast

I finished Guacamelee 1 in platinum and even in the hardest parts, you always had the feeling that there is a learning curve while this shit feels like the programmers just troll you.
Yeah... after all the shit I have endured between the original game and this one, I'm not even going to attempt this one. I'm going to retire from this series. It was fun, the second game was hilarious at times, but man some of these platforming things really pushed me in a way that I don't like. Good challenge, but I know when I don't want to be stressed out further. I'll be happy with just completing the story and most of the difficult challenges in both.

After 4 hrs and going numb I finally got past the first 3 rooms.
Wow, in that second area, if you hit the spikes, you go back to the save point. That's such bullshit.

0:29 the air hitbox is bigger than the spikeballs, so you can glide on the side and never get hit by the balls.
