I spoke to fans and staff of Wrexham AFC to hear how things have changed from their perspective. Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over, they've been one of the most talked about football teams in the world.

First Division in the 60s? That's news to me. The highest we've ever been up to now was the 4 Seasons we spent in the old 2nd Division in the late 70s/Early 80s.

Who would have thought that an American and a Canadian would be responsible for saving Wrexham football?

We didn't need saving - that would have been a few years prior when the asset strippers were in charge. We were trundling along, but getting nowhere when Rob & Ryan took over. What they have done is awoken a sleeping giant and at last we have people in charge who have the interests of the club at heart and we will be forever grateful for what they have done for the club and town. (Still regard us as being a town, not a city)
