Realism tip: if you're making an Intamin launched coaster remember to put emergency brakes at the end of the launch.
Is this an Intamin thing? I only just learned about them back in 2017 (Thanks Maverick @ Cedar Pointe!)
Before, I've seen an Aero Dynamic/Velkoma kinda guy until 2017. Intamin really know how to make a VERY aerobatic coaster and know how to make a slow, low attitude coaster feel like Mach 3! I love it!
Though, after riding my first RMC (Steel Vengeance) I realize that RMC has stepped into the ring and declared war with Intamin. RMCs are literally the embodiment of a crazy train! 😍
I don't think Intamin still does this cause lSMs can also slow down the train in an emergency
@@samurai5589 no it's still does that now days. LSM can slow down the train but not as quick as magnetic brakes. On some modern launches, like on batman Gotham city escape, the launch is alternated with lsm and magnetic brakes
@@flipperionlsms can 100% slow down a train enough it's just cheaper to have copper fins and lsms exchanging at the end
@@kremink it can't if it's inclined
I would love to see a dueling coaster tutorial or a dark ride tutorial if possible i liked your coaster tutorial it was very well made
Cool ideas, thank you :)
So some tips to make coasters smoother, from what I've found:
1: Smooth starting from the back of the coaster going backwards along the track, then once at the station reverse and go forwards. Repeat process multiple times until it's smooth, and don't overdo it.
2: Manually heartline things instead of using the ingame tool. This is tricky to do, especially coming out of elements, and may require some adjustment once the track has been placed down, but it typically results in smoother tracks in my experience.
Also, I've found 5m track segments smooth better than 4m for some reason.
I also noticed that about 5m segments. I thought I was crazy!
Ooooooh!
You have reeled me back into coaster making and have inspired me to build more realistic and think more about layout. Thanks for the tutorial mate. A loving sub and likes for U my dude..!
Thank you so much! So glad it's inspiring for you :)
extremely helpful video. Best ive found. you cover so much in fourty minutes, and now i can have nl2 level coasters in my park. inspired me to get back into the game, thank you so much.
Thank you so much :)
Batman Gotham city escape remix??
Perhaps 👀
Really helpful video, definitely made me understand supporting and transfer tracks better, amazing layout too made me really inspired :)
Thank you so much :)
Dude it was just yesterday that I looked up planco realism tips. This is sooo big coincidence and also I need this real hard
It came at a good time then haha :)
Even though custom supports are quite literally painful to do, I liked the other tips in this video!
I enjoy doing them haha, it's worth it. Thanks :)
@@CorvusCoasters I’ve been 1 metering a MACK Hyper and that’s much more enjoyable lol. But I’m gonna use some of these tips to custom support it.
Actually the reason why the top hat is not supported is that it's shapped pretty much like a bridge and thus acts like a bridge, A curved shape like this is extremely strong so it does not need more supports
Yeah, Velocicoaster and GCE were my main inspiration so it's just like those :)
Great video corvus, and great build. I'll use some of these tips on my next coaster build for sure.
Thank you :)
Your video quality is excellent! Very informative, entertaining, and chill throughout.
Thanks so much :)
This is a really great tutorial. Just subscribed. excited for more ace content like this. Well done mate!
Thanks so much :)
So excited
Aww, wish we could have seen the final excitement, fear, and nausea ratings. Also, was hoping for some theming! But this was great, I'm really excited to give Planet Coaster another go!
I'll do a tutorial on theming a coaster in the future. Thanks :)
Bro this is probably the best planet coaster tutorial on youtube ever thank you for making this
Thank you so much :)
This is a really great video! Now i need a video on how to make realistic coaster plazas/surroundings.
Thanks, my park series would probably help with this :)
Smooth like butter
Thank you, I found that video very useful :) What about a tutorial on racing coasters???
I have one actually, it's on the channel :)
That top hat😩
That means you like it then ?haha
Great job on your video! I just found you on CZcams. You’re very well spoken and I like your editing!
Thanks so much :)
This guy knows how to make coasters @TommyT067
It's so interesting how the track looks so jagged and messy but once you start smoothing it looks just like how it's supposed to!
The smoothing tool is the most important thing:)
Amazing video and a lot of help, I'd love to see a tutorial as well on one of the more extreme and obscure models, maybe a 4th dimension or a flying coaster! ^_^
I've got timelapse from when I made an Intamin multidimensional coaster on Peak Park actually. Thanks :)
@@CorvusCoasters Oh cool!!! I'll have to check that out! ^_^
THIS IS AMAZING CORVUS!!! there's something special about this coaster ik its short but omg it's amazing 😍
Thank you so much :)
Good tutorial and great coaster Layout 👌🏼🎢
Thank you :)
Nice tutorial and soo smooth..I'd like to see a tutorial of theming this coaster that would be really helpful
Thanks, I'll probably make one :)
Awesome vid thank you!
Thanks :)
Wow thank you so much for this i really needed to learn how to make supports.
Thanks :) I have a full tutorial on this also!
@@CorvusCoasters Hey man wanted to let you know you are a real one for replying to everyone. Have a good day
Thanks so much, always do :)
i love roller coasters
Same haha
Dude thank you so much, I was stupid enough to enter myself into a competition between me and some friends to build an amazing theme park. Downside: I can't build coasters to save my life. Hopefully with this tut i can maybe place at least 3rd. Thank you again so much man YOU ARE A LIFE SAVOR!!! And you earned you a sub.
So glad that it could help, thank you :)
Are there 3 of you?
@@brickcat5342 what
You said you could maybe place third
@@brickcat5342 oh yeah that doesnt always mean there are 3 people
I've been waiting so long how to make a good one
I hope this helps :)
If you use the Realism mod, you can use the Intamin Prototype Wing Coaster and switch out the trains to the Mack Hyper Trains to create a realistic Intamin Blitz similar to Velocicoaster
Yeah that track type is the larger one like Hyperion whereas the Velocicoaster one is smaller and doesn't perform well with the Mack trains making it jittery
Thanks for this. I always struggle doing inverts. I just can't always wrap my head around it. Great video you got a sub from me 👍
Thanks so much :)
Thank you brother, my coaster always was janky and it felt like a car crash when u would ride it lol, this helped!
That's great, thanks :)
Love it. You so good. 🎉
Thank you so much :)
As someone who mostly messes around in Planet Coaster, I find this really interesting.
Thanks, hope it helps :)
love it!!
Thanks :)
that top hat looks so beautiful wth
Thanks :)
Can you please make a coaster scenery and theming tutorial? Love your content by the way!
That would be a good idea :)
Thanks for the 4m smoothing method 😂
I do agree with the rhythm with the banking, but imo there is a caveat. Zero-G Stalls, I personally prefer when a zero-g stall exists the same direction it enters, but that is more of a personal preference thing.
Yeah preference definitely has some to do with it, but that's what makes everyone's rides unique:)
Best birthday present
If you’re wondering why this coaster is called sky rocket 2 it’s because their is only one sky rocket 1 at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin PA just outside of Pittsburgh
Please can you do a smooth transition tutorial as well as the smooth coaster one u already did
I'll be doing some more tutorials soon hopefully:)
Could you do a tutorial on theming and maybe do something similar to theme park wirrals inversion tutorials maybe do tutorials on flatspins, barrel rolls(the downdrops as well), and maybe even interlocking corkscrews? Also are you do with the challenge videos?
I think a theming tutorial would be fun to make :)
Can you do a theming vid? That's the only thing I struggle with in planco. It would be very cool if you also showed how to blend areas together smoothly!
That would be an interesting tutorial:)
@@CorvusCoastersi absolutely need a theming tutorial 😭🙏
This would be great, I think it's sorely needed from one of the greats here on YT lol. A good word I think would apply and get the point across is 'integration,' as in how to integrate your coasters and rides into the park. Like for example the way Colossus at Thorpe Park is perfectly integrated into it's area.
Let’s fucking go Corvus 👏👏👏👏👏
One of the things i find difficult is lining up the track at the end to the station. I always have to do auto complete
Best to build the break run first, makes it so much easier :)
Aah the 4m method.. a technique used for years even today. Happy its still a thing
I use it every time :)
I've been creating roller coasters on planet coaster for a while and I gotta say, this video really helped me. However, I do have one question. How do you get that, "smooth forward," and "smooth backward," settings instead of the, "smooth banking," and, "smooth height," settings?
Glad it could help, I use the ASCE smoothing mod :)
@@CorvusCoastersThanks man, planet coaster's smoothing features are already starting to kill me 🙏
Can you make a video showing the layout whenever I build it looks like a bunch of rides in a straight line to the end of the plot? I want a more realistic park layout. Thanks!
Check my how to make a theme park tutorial, this should help to show some examples :)
Please do a coaster theming tutorial I’m so bad at it 😂
I will probably do one some day :)
@@CorvusCoasters thanks
hey Corvus, I'm just wondering how in some of your videos, You build the coaster in a regular map and then in the showcase the whole back round is white?
It's using art pieces and reshade :)
for vertical g’s i try not to pass 3.5 positive g’s and 1 negative g’s but it’s all depending on coaster type
G forces are always hard to master haha :)
wait till you learn about SkyRocketII's lol
Positive gs can usually be good and safe at a max of 4.5 or 5. But you have an idea on max negatives.
man i really wIsh I could use the vector train model on the torque track so i could really get a modern intamin blitz similar to velocicoaster or batman gotham city escape however since I have console version i cant download the mods to make it possible, hopefully planet coaster 2 will have more features that are realistic such as switch track or a drop track
There are other ways to make intamins blitz without mods, or just use the vector model as default :)
Great tutorial, this will be really helpful! How do i get it so when i use the select tool to select my custom supports it doesn’t select the coaster like you have it?
It's because the supports are custom and therefore separate. Thank you :)
@@CorvusCoasters when i do custom supports too though when i drag over them it selects the coaster track too, is it a setting i need to change or am i just using the wrong tool?
Just make sure the select tool doesn't touch the coaster and you should be fine :)
@@CorvusCoasters ok cool, thanks!!
Didn't know that PlanCo has heartline options
On most coasters but not all :)
When are you starting your next park series
Soon, I want it complete before it releases, updates will be in the Discord :)
did you make the station concrete walls or whatever yourself or is it a seeting or mod
Yes, I just added them :)
Hey, hey. 'm thinking about purchasing Planet Coaster on Instant Gaming, but I have a Mac ad not a PC. Do you know if I get the Mac Version on Instant Gaming as well?
I don't think there is but it's work keeping a look out, can't you get steam on Mac?
I play Planet Coaster on my Mac with my Steam account. :D
so when is the next park series coming/happening?
July! More details will be on the Discord server soon :)
Where do you get your mods from ? And keep up the good work
I'd check out Theme Park Wirral's tutorial. Thanks :)
I’m on console and can you please show me the ways I’m custom supporting a in and out haurer spinning coaster inspired by Dubai drone.
I have a custom supporting tutorial already on the channel :)
@@CorvusCoasters also do you remember me? And I’m on console so no mods here is the pov for it:czcams.com/video/Yg-LzCSIN2Q/video.htmlsi=C-P-RMwEq7NY2Xfp
Would you recommend Coaster Planet in 2023? I can’t decide between Coaster Planet or Park Beyond.
I would definitely recommend planet coaster :)
Where did you get the smoothing mod please? I can't find it anywhere. Also, does it work well?
Smoothing mod is ASCE. You can get it through the mod server explained in TPWs tutorial on CZcams :)
@@CorvusCoasters Perfect :) Thanks :)
On the stall there would need to be something holding it up tho cause the train would be pulling down, or am i wrong?
Depends on how fast it's going, wether you'll get hangtime on it or get pushed into your seat, but if you look at all IRL Intamin stalls, the track is enough to support itself :)
This is going to sound so weird, but I’m really struggling with building these coasters! I just got the game yesterday, and it looks like I don’t have as many options as you. When putting down tracks the only buttons I see are ones to make them shorter, and to adjust the angle. I also don’t see the chain track in my track list! Can anyone please help me fix this? Thanks so much for the awesome tutorial!!
It's because I use mods, they give you more options in coaster building, the mods I use are in the description. If you just got the game yesterday its ok that you are struggling, it takes loads of practice :)
@@CorvusCoasters thanks so much for the reply!! you’re awesome!!
can you please please show us what a pandora night ride looks like because you made the lights follow the track and idk what it looks like 😭
I showed a clip of it on the Pandora build video I think :)
@@CorvusCoasters no on both of the pandora build videos i only saw daytime povs but if im missing something im sorry :)
I think it was just an off-ride shot, I'll try to upload one sometime
@@CorvusCoasters okay thanks 🙏
On ps5 I have a problem with the minimum departure interval. I can’t put it on any higher then 10.
Any advice on how to fix it?
I don't know how to fix that sorry, maybe change the coaster operations from standard to block sectioned and see if that changes it :)
@@CorvusCoasters Everything was right. After lots of tweaking it sort of works, btw great guide even better then silvarret.
how do you make it so that your track lines up exactly with the brake run
Build the brake run first, and build backwards from it :)
how do you make the turning / dropping of tracks not snap like this video on computer?
Just turn off angle snap on the bottom right of the coaster building menu :)
@@CorvusCoasters thank you
How can you select 2 or more pieces on console edition to smooth them?
Hold x/square and drag the stick to select multiple track pieces :)
@@CorvusCoasters thanks!
I need help keeping good pacing on my coasters. I’m trying to make an rmc hybrid right now and I’m struggling with the ride slowing down too much and ruining the ride. What can I do?
Just make sure the rides elements aren't really huge like the first drop and maybe turn down the friction setting on the coaster :)
@@CorvusCoasters how do I lower the friction?
In the coasters settings
@@CorvusCoasters wow that’s a game changer man 😂 makes me want to fix up my old coasters lol
What about the queues? How do I make those realistic?
I will probably do a video on this at some point. Definitely look at real life images for inspiration:)
how would i get rid of the “jitter” while going through banking? this has always been a problem for me since i am on console
It's quite difficult, maybe smooth with 4m and then convert to a longer track piece afterwards:)
My problem is that every coaster I make is very spread out which can be good sometimes but if I were to recreate a coaster that's quite close together (like the smiler for example) it just wouldn't work the fear and happiness would be too high and low respectfully
It does take some tweaking but you can make a compact coaster, check out my 'The most compact coaster' video for some inspiration :)
Ok thanks I've been trying to learn to make more compact coasters for ages now
Ik you probably won't see this but I've made one and I'm pretty proud of it on my yt channel
Pop it in the Discord to show everyone
Will do
The problem with me is that I want to create a realistic coaster so much but the way how it’s done takes hours and ion got that type of patience 😂
Yeah it does take a long time, but it's worth it :)
What negative g starts to count as ejector? Thanks!
I don't know really, probably above 1g I think, but ejector is more rapid where floater is more drawn out :)
Will this ride go on the steam workshop?
I will at some point next week :)
@@CorvusCoasters perfect it’ll fit well (with a couple modifications) in a park I’m working on!
Hey how do you build your stations?
When it's just a single coaster like this, it's just concentrate walls, but I will add how to do this in how to theme a coaster video :)
Thanks
i wanna ask if premier sky rocket is a DLC coaster because i cant find it
It's called the Torque, I don't think it is :)
Need to add chapters to this vid!!
Good idea :)
My Coaster is wiggling at the first hill ( was rebuilding from video)
This probably requires more smoothing or try using a different train as some trains work smoother with different tracks :)
How do you make it so you can see the manufacturer in the coaster menu
This is a mod :)
@@CorvusCoasters could you drop a link?
I can't remember where I got it sorry

Using white art pieces and reshade :)
Can u make custom supports on console bc we cant get mods
Custom supports don't require mods, they're just insane pieces so yes you can :)
how do you see the manufactuarer on the coaster type?
Real coaster names mod :)
@@CorvusCoasters ty
how to make the background white like you do?
Using reshade and white art shapes :)

Can you help me?
You need to turn off scenery collision in the settings :)
@@CorvusCoasters ohh, thank you very mucho Bro! By the way, good video and good channel
Thanks :)
I dont know if anyone else does this but after placing the 4m tracks i delete around 4 of them in a row and autocomplete it
Yeah I know about the auto complete method, it's really only useful on consoles because of the percentage :)
@@CorvusCoasters really because I do that on pc
Whats the Name of the mod to Smith forwoard and hos can i download it
ASCE mod, you download it from the PlanCo modding server I think :)
Does ANYONE know the name of the ACSE smoothing mod server?
Just search for Theme Park Wirral's tutorial:)

what mods do you use?
They are listed in the description :)
how to make them so realistic:
step 1: download no limits 2

@@CorvusCoastersthat’s true, you did a very good job in this video but i feel like the amount of time you put in is more forgiving in nl2 than planet coaster which is why i made the switch
