- Phish members Trey Anastasio (guitar) & Page McConnell (keyboards) joined Phil Lesh (bass), Steve Kimock (guitar), John Molo (drums) & Donna Jean Godchaux-McKay at the Warfield, on April 16, 1999.
If you like Phish, Kimock and/or the Grateful Dead this is a show well worth listening to, imo. A high quality soundboard recording of the night is available for free download here.

Thank you Phil and friends for the music! - Hudba
Thank You
Trey and Page crushed it with Phil and brought back a whole lot of energy to our scene when we all needed it . Good music
what a smokeshow! good stufff!
Anyone who listens to the Warfield theater shows In 99 with Phil and friends ft kimmock and Trey.....find me a better non Jerry version of their catalogue than those help on the way /slipknot is goosebumps and all nights were elite levels of music. Im a Oscar Peterson, Coltrane, dolphy, miles, monk, art Tatum jazz guy but good is good. From banjo days of old and in the way to grateful dawg was all good with grisman. Grateful dead loosened me up lol to say the least and blew my mind my first job I got paid in copied Maxwell xl tapes back with pigpen through 80s from neighbor: ). Saw phish in 90's if you don't think Trey can play a guitar that's fine. People don't like the dead or pink Floyd poor souls imo they're missing out imo ..thanks for posting 🎶🎵
@MrGrevy - Clearly you don't like Phish and have difficulty admitting when wrong. That's okay, its your right. But i will start deleting the Phish and Trey bashing posts and blocking people who only come here to share their anger. This video was put up for people to enjoy, not to provide a platform for hate. Take care.
This is beautifully produced, think I'll listen to the whole show!
Thanks for sharing all these righteous videos!!!
Trey’s solo on this is on fire (i am actually about to do a cover video of it - stay tuned!) These were some of the first Dead/jam band shows I got into, and maybe it’s primacy bias, but not many compare to these, and this Bertha was a highlight.
Grateful for these 3 shows....🌹
I was feeling tired, sick, and bored until I turned this on and listened. Thanks Phil Lesh and friends!
Jah Bless all my deadhead bredrens with good vibes and the highest highs
@MrGrevy - I didn't say the Dead, I said Jerry. He started off as a folk and jugband musician, singing songs written by others. Check out all Garcia's acoustic music with David Grisman, they sang about 90% or more covers. Nothing wrong with singing songs written by others, its what musicians do.
great tune!!
i wish there was a video for this!
There IS look for it..The whole show
Phil at 6:15, shepherding the flock.
great music.didnt no phish besides the name.real good, thanks for showing me some great combo groups..
chasefukuoka61 you are too wise. i wish to be like u when it comes to keeping your cool and speaking the truth. i love phish and the dead, this colab makes me smile! i hope it happens again sometime soon. thanks for the kind tunes my brother.
Wow dumb internet argument is dumb. How is Phish representative of all that is wrong with the jam band scene? Let's be honest -- that's WSP. Phish and the Dead are both incredible, legendary groups of musicians in their OWN RIGHT. They are not alike. If you don't like the style of one or the other, fine, doesn't mean it's bad.
6:13 love that instrumental
@notmefuckingname - hey thank you. And check out the links below the video for the MP3 soundboards of this show, they're still downloadable for free from live archive. One day that may change.
hell yeah
phish phan forever!!!
FUCK YEAH!!!!!!

Great stuff..thanks for posting!! All ya'll Trey haters can go piss off.
I agree with you trey is good at what he does that's why phil and Bobby pick him
@hopeisunlimited - "Let there be songs to fill the air"
@MrGrevy @koko7106 @hopeisunlimited - half of the songs Jerry sang were cover tunes. That's what this is. If you don't like it please don't torture yourself by listening. Beats Justin Beirb... errr... no? "Let there be songs to Phil the air." Peace & Light.
its too bad i was born in '92 and not '72 haha, love the jam scene but it seems like now that im getting really into it, everythings turning into lame techno dj music. caught lotus for the first time in athens last saturday and that's about as much of the electronic scene as I can take, can't wait for WANEE!!!!!!
Chillson check out pidgeons playing ping pong - one of the best jam bands rn in my opinion
So many good ones. I'm also a millennial jam head navigating the waters haha. Born in 96 and dead fan since age 12. So many good bands out there tho brother. Pigeons, the werks, twiddle, tauk, lettuce, spafford, dopapod, big something, dosio, etc. The list goes on. Festivals always are a good platform to finding new bands, but I'm assuming you're already in the festival circuit
@MrGrevy -actually, "pathological" would describe someone who when wrong refuses to admit it, not someone who simply backs up his statements with supporting evidence. Simple fact- musicians sing cover songs all the time, and that was especially true of Jerry Garcia when he performed live. True or false?
@fbskier20 first off COMPETITION is HUMAN NATURE. fact... and second its not as much about "competition" as it is that we all love to analyze different shows and talk about our favorites and explain why. just sayin. jerry is still living in my heart
Phurthur
@MrGrevy Mr.Grevy thinks its disgraceful for phil lesh to play songs he wrote and played with Jerry? Anytime someone plays a Jerry Tune somewhere an angel (jerry garcia) is smiling. cuz at the level of the unified field, you are me mrgrevy. i can't insult you or i would be insulting myself as well. Dressed myself in green, went down to the sea!
@fbskier20 stop feeding into the hatred dude and just live and listen
This will wet your whistle - google Phishtracks 08-19-2012 - Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
THIS IS WHAT I HATE ABOUT THE JAMBAND SCENE. PEOPLE ARE SO NITPICKY ABOUT TINY ASS DETAILS LIKE IT'S A COMPETITION WHEN IN REALITY IT ALL SOUNDS GOOD AND COMES FROM LOVE. KEEP YOUR RESTRICTIVE THOUGHTS AWAY FROM PSYCHADELIC MUSIC because all we want are good vibes. thank you. peace and love.
