solo kinda made my eyes water watching him go so hard and have so much fun haha.

I've heard people call Caleb talented, gifted and even lucky among other things but the plain truth is: This guy is more dedicated to the craft than 98% of us. You simply don't get that good without putting in the work.
The Sleep Token guy blew my mind. Caleb now has me looking out my window checking for rips in space-time.
Agreed wholly, but writing a piece like this and covering it are in two different worlds. Time will tell if he’s got the creative fire in him or not. So far I’ve only seen mind blowing covers and that’s fine. He doesn’t even have put hair yet

@destroyerofdreams42069 watch jojo mayers between zero and one video. Surprised i got the reference but its absolutely worth a watch. I think about it all the time and can hear the difference in electeonic or over produced music.
How to be famous before you are famous? By practicing and actually doing something and not whining on tiktok and stuff like that. This is talent immaculate
The control and pocket feel is so strong with this kid its silly.
This kids got a clear path in life and a very bright future. Stay focused, clean and dedicated and he will be in the world’s biggest spotlight someday. Guaranteed.
I rarely comment on anything. But as a father myself I gotta tell you two things:
1. i was smiling 99% through it
2. the snare is living rent free in my head
This groove, punch, timing is something else not only for a 9 year old but also anyone serious about music. Most important you seem to have a LOT of fun. If I wish one thing stay with you it’s keep having fun.
He doesn't only have talent, he doesn't only have chops but he also hast TASTE!!! Seriously, this kid is going places. Sleep Token has one of the most challenging drums I've heard and you KILLED IT!!! At the beginning of the video I thought "there's no way he does the solo" AND THEN HE DID THE SOLO!!! Incredible. Keep killing it little dude
Jesus Christ!! I love this so much. In my late 20’s I used to get kind of jealous over the fact that kids growing up after me had access to CZcams where endless hours of free music instruction could be found on demand. Growing up poor with a natural “talent” but parent/family had no money for lessons and few “mentors” or teachers, all had to be learned by ear or in very technical practice booklets or cd’s. It made it so hard to get to such a high level of playing at such a young age. Now, I stopped being a bitch about it and realized that kids like this are taking the game to new levels and beyond so quickly-music will be forever changed for the better. The idea that every style and technique from all over the world is now clashing and evolving together into more than we could ever imagine is making me optimistic. Thank you young ones, for showing an older person that there is so much hope for this art form and for future generations to come.

Dude this song has so many little weird odds and ends in it and you absolutely nailed it.
Caleb, you are by far one of the most musically talented people I have ever seen. Period, not youngest, period. But especially to have mastered such advanced drum mechanics at your age, and I do mean mastered. You don’t just know them, you have mastered them. Your rhythm looks so effortless and you have such a passion in your playing. It’s awesome to see and I can’t wait to witness how far your musical career will take you. You definitely could be one of the greats one day.
