Love the fact that your driving down rt 9in freehold. Went to boro high school. Grew up there. Ps. Great content. Thanks for the insight. I also pace myself when collecting. I don’t complete lines. I buy what makes me happy. I am relatively new to collecting so I tend to get fomo but sit for awhile and think is it something I really need. It helps with the excitement for those figures I really want and not just an impulse buy. Wait times are a real thing. Delays are more common. But if you don’t have a ton of pre orders when they do come in it’s exciting. If there is a gap and I have a little extra cash I may chase a figure i missed.

I have gone through two, could say mayor delays for my collection, Hulkbuster and Justice League Superman. If you was there 3,000 years ago you know!!! Nothing faces me anymore on delays they are to be expected from all these toy companies/manufacturers. What pushes me to the corner is when they are charged all at the same time🙄🙄🙄.🍻🦇

After the first couple figures, I realized it's just something we have to deal with in high end collectibles. I much rather have a well put together figure as opposed to a shoddy one. Now the final result of the figure depends on each piece so I won't speak on how satisfied I am with a figure. We're just talking about waiting on delays. I'm ok with the delays. BUT if a figure is officially out, and I haven't gotten mine for whatever reason. That bothers me. Regarding losing excitement for figures. It is the same with me, if delays take too long. But I can't afford to buy every figure. I pre-order figures that I have a strong connection with. Most times, once I do get it, I remember why I wanted it in the first place. Of course there have been a few duds. They're no longer in my collection. Today I'm finally getting my Clone wars Obi-wan. Realized that I put a deposit on this in January 2023. Man I hadn't noticed how much time had gone by.

I don't let delays bother me. More time to find space for the stuff.

Collection without curation is just a pile/stack of materials. A collection is as good as how it is curated, without proper curation, to me they are just a mess in my room. That's just my opinion tho. As for delays, yes kinda agree sometime it does bring down the excitement, hell even waiting a year for the release date can bring down the excitement even if they are not delayed

All the sixth scale companies are having delay problems, I don’t really fault hot toys for it. They’ve got a lot on their plate and in my head I tell myself that they just wanna make sure the figure is right before they release it. That being said hot toys, releasing a figure and everybody else & their uncle getting it 4,5 or even 6 months ahead of sideshow is what really pisses me off. I think things are starting to change. I ordered that Deadpool and Wolverine from overseas just so I can get it in a couple days. Not wait a couple extra months after release. #squad4life

Delays give me more time to save up.
