Well done! Ornamental turning used to be fashionable in the 19th century, but they had special machines.

Portable power banks are a godsend, have a couple myself. Like the concept of the turning, though initially I did wonder whether you might loose the lovely effects of the grain in cutting the slots, but after the finishes were applied it came back in all its glory.

Great job Villy! I have an old Legacy mill that will do twists, including open twists, but it won’t do ones with a changing radius or pitch. For that you need one of the fancier CNC machines. Did you consider put some CA glue in those cracks? I was afraid pieces were going to break off with the open twist.

Definitely an unique turning, the additional work you put into the twists was remarkable enough but to then hollow them through was super sweet. Keep it up you have such a talent. 👍😁🇨🇱🇺🇸

Haven't seen two of the tools you used to hollow it out before. I don't know what they're called or how to describe them really. The wide pressing saw bit? shavings fell out the back of it. What would that be called please?
And that angled metal chisel used to scrape the insides. I mean it's a scraper but
