Harley LiveWire Part 2, Jeff's second month living with the Harley-Davidson Electric LiveWire

- At the beginning of June Jeff Ware picked up this beast, our latest BikeReview.com.au long termer, the BikeReview LiveWire. After Simon Harris attended the Aussie launch, MDM did the Euro launch and Paul Bailey did our track test, Jeff was keen to experience the bike for himself.
We will be updating you with regular videos here on our CZcams Channel and also on our website over a three month test, so our Winter here in Australia. Jeff will use the bike as his main transport during that time and only ride conventional bikes for his usual testing for his job as editor and publisher of BikeReview.
Jeff lives almost 100km from Sydney and there are no charging stations anywhere near his home so the challenge is great. So far, so good, he has gone one full month with no problems and actually says that he hasn't found any disadvantages to having electric over fuel just yet...

I think that going from gas to electric is a bit like going from a small to large displacement sport bike. Since we expect a buildup of torque from gas, we just need to retrain our wrists to apply the throttle differently for electric which gives it to you right away. I'm sure you got used to it eventually.

I can picture in my mind how the die-hard "biker" Harley owners would scoff and berate the electric Harley and it's owner, especially if one showed up at a "biker bar" like one here in the states.
