- The Manila Hotel is a 550-room, historic five-star hotel located along Manila Bay in Manila, Philippines.[3] The hotel is the oldest premiere hotel in the Philippines built in 1909 to rival Malacañang Palace, the official residence of the President of the Philippines and was opened on the commemoration of American Independence on July 4, 1912.[5] The hotel complex was built on a reclaimed area of 35,000 square metres (380,000 sq ft) at the northwestern end of Rizal Park along Bonifacio Drive in Ermita.[6] Its penthouse served as the residence of General Douglas MacArthur during his tenure as the Military Advisor of the Philippine Commonwealth from 1935 to 1941.[7]
The hotel used to host the offices of several foreign news organizations, including The New York Times.[5] It has hosted world leaders and celebrities, including authors Ernest Hemingway and James A. Michener; actors Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and John Wayne; publisher Henry Luce; entertainers Sammy Davis, Jr., Michael Jackson and The Beatles; and U.S. President Bill Clinton.[2][6]
The hotel tower, built as part of the hotel's renovation and expansion from 1975 to 1977, is the tallest hotel tower in the Manila Bay area.

My niece and her family stayed there back in 2015, we got a chance to joined them, it has the most inestimable grand lobby among the hotels in Metro Manila, the swimming pool and the garden area are the most stunning as well. Thanks Dada Koo and Sweetie for showing us the enchanting Manila Hotel again.

wow! naalala ko tuloy way back in 1976, nag dessert kami diyan malapit sa pool na buko na may scoop of ice cream sa loob for only 5 pesos.
I love your enthusiasm and honest and unadulturated "paghanga" sa kagarahan and elegance of the Manila Hotel! I was treated to the dinner buffet there by my niece the last time I visited 2014. I wish they hire/consult some of our successful Filipino chefs rather than non-Filipinos. All the best to you both and more success with you vlog!

Naalaala ko ang Manila Hilton, nandyan kame nung June 24, 1971, nakasal ang Tito Art dyan ginawang reception at first time namin nakasakay sa escalator at ginawa namin ito ng playground mabuti nalang naintindihan kame ng security guard alam siguro nya taga promdi kame. 'Twas such a wonderful and unforgettable experiences back then. Nakita ko itong vlog mo Dada Koo excited talaga ako manood hanggang sa dulo kasi ung ibang lugar ng hotel hinde ko Pa nakakita so parang reminiscence ito. Natutuwa ako at salamat sa vlog mo. i remember the first time i stayed there. they put us on the left wing, the ghost wing haha we had them move us to another room. i remember the lobby being the biggest i have seen on a hotel. i am glad they renovated. lots of history in that place and the view from the rooms to the city to intramuros. very nice! thanks Dada and Sweetie. happy weekend

Mr. DADA, You doing TOUR OF MANILA HOTEL brings back memories late 40's and early 50's as a 15 yrs old CIGARETE AND CHEWING GUM VENDOR I use to stand in front of the Hotel waiting for a customer and the security guard would chase me out. Manila hotel, The Royal Hawaiian and the Grand Hotel In Michigan, if you have not stayed in this hotels, you have not experience a true hotel at all.
Salamat sa pag tour sa Manila Hotel. I think it's the oldest hotel in the Philippines. I was able to go there inside when I attended a seminar for O.R. nurses held in that hotel years back.

That time,sa MH ko pa nakita mga naga-gandahang Filipina like Sara Jane Paez,Patty Betita,Rachel Alejandro,Amanda Page,Mikee Cojuangco,Agot Isidro,Elizabeth "La Oro" Freeman in person to name a few. Memories!

Yoo I remember my fam and I staying in this hotel for a night 5 years ago dahil sa Manila hotel din ginanap ang wedding reception ng tita ko. It was one of the best and nicest hotels I’ve ever been talaga! Manghang-mangha talaga kami nung pagdating namin sa entrance ng hotel loool. Tapos ang cozy ng room and lawak ng banyo nila diyan. Ang ganda rin ng view ng pinagstay-an namin na room, kitang-kita yung Manila bay! Ang sarap din ng mga foods sa breakfast buffet and ang daming options

Seeing Luneta brings a lot of good memories.... it's where my very first date happened. We watched a movie (1970's) in Luneta theater just across and at corner of RoxasBlvd (nandyan pa kaya yang sinehan ?).... I'm not paying attention to the movie, I remember. My mind was wandering how I can make my first base with the chick (our next door neighbor) 🤣... I just have enough money that day (just received my monthly allowance from my Dad from 'merika). We end up inside the motel in Ermita after the Tagalo movieI... always remember the lyrics of that song of the late RicoPuno---- namamasyal sa Luneta ng walang peraaaaa! Bwahaha! 😜
