Great teaching. I've never seen that scripture, Luke 6:38, "good measure, pressed down" in its proper context, the context of judgment as Jesus, still in the old covenant before the cross, was ministering the law to Israel, ministering why we could not achieve life or righteousness under it and needed a Savior, His blood, His finished work. It has been taught by many as giving to and getting back from God. When you take the text of out context, we are just left with the con. I now sometimes think that those who preach old covenant tithing (which was really only about food ("bring all the tithes into the storehouse"), not money, falsely picture God as running a protection racket. You better give God His 10% first and on time, or the devil is going to be sicked on you, busting up your business, your house, your marriage, etc. It's absurd that Religion takes many of the character traits of the devil and tries to put these on God.
