Oh lord Jesus Christ things are like a cycle that happens over and over rather the cycle can be a good and a great thing in your name or a bad cycle like lust, lying, betrayal, brutality, and murder. The sinners way of walking of braking rules in your name is unholy and unjustified. But only in your name can brake the bad and begin the good so Lord Jesus Christ I ask of you to forgive me for I followed the wrong path but I ask you to forgive me of sinning and to start living in your name and doing the good for you. Lord thank you for so much you did for us.

What is the will of the Father from Matthew 7:21, is it not to believe in the One that the Father has sent for eternal life?
What do the verses that you quted say?
If we love God (not if we want to be saved) we will obey Him.
Why do you trust in your works and encourage others to do the same, dont you know that by grace through faith we are saved, not by our own doing (Ephesians 2:8-10)?

Read Matthew 5:20, in verses 18 and 19 Jesus was talking about the commandments that He was about to give to the crowds during His sermon on the mount, verse 20 of the 5th chapter makes it clear that your own efforts cannot get you into Heaven, Jesus said that your righteousness must be greater than the one of a Pharisee. Pharisees were the most religious out of the most religious, their whole life was about observing the Law of Moses and Jesus said to those people that they must do better than this to be saved. This is only possible by faith in Jesus, because He is the only one who kept the Law better than a Pharisee, when we believe in Jesus, His righteousness becomes our righteousness, so His sinless perfection is ours, we are counted as more righteous than the Pharisees.
Thats my understanding of Matthew 5, sorry if Im rude but I used to believe in works salvation and now it makes me mad when I see people preaching the lies (Bible verses taken out of context and twisted to fit the doctrine of the one preaching them) that I used to believe.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I thought I had to read the Bible every day, always have scripture memorized, and pray every single day, but with my ADHD brain it’s been hard to remember stuff. My mom did tell me that God knows how I am, and all that matters is my intentions.
