Matt and Tipper, just wanted you to know that you are a calming, healing presence. I am not young and live alone. I started feeling sick 2 days ago. Last night my temp went up and I had a lot of pain. It was too late to go to a Dr, (we really don't have many MD's here anymore. I am a RN, so I don't feel like going to another RN), so I stayed at home. I couldn't get any relief except Tylenol.. I thought I had to do something to get calm, so I turned to Celebrating Appalachia, because your voices are calming. So I got your show, some ginger ale and saltines. In about 30 minutes I felt so much better. So your easy calm voices and interesting talk about gardening made me feel better. Today I don't have a fever. Still resting in bed and watching Corie and Austin. What a pleasant gift from God you've received. A calm presence and soft voice is a blessing.đIt felt like home.
Bless you! I'm so sorry you've been sick and hope you are all better now đ I'm so glad you enjoy our videos! We really appreciate you đ
God Bless You Sweetheart. I AM Praying for you!
I live not too far from McKee Bakery who makes Little Debbies. I applied there when I was young. People stay there until they retire. My daddy had a big tin of an assortment of Little Debbieâs. My little nieces and nephews would toddle over, too short to see up on the counter but they would strain to reach because they knew the Little Debbieâs were in that tin. You could say âDaddy, he doesnât need another oneâ. My daddy would say âLeave that baby alone. He wants itâ: My daddy grew up extremely poor so giving his family things and spoiling babies made him happy. I miss my parents.
â€
Your So Right..
â€
My Daddy too. â€â€
I've noticed a lot of treats, I don't know about Miss Debbie, but Hostess is now "bioengineered in a lab", no longer what they use to be.
So happy Granny is home! We pray she will keep doing well! We love you all and are always praying for you!đđ»â€ïž
Potatoes??
I second that!
I hope Granny feels like some popsicle conversation soon, no matter what I will always pray for herđâs
My husband was diabetic and loved little Debbieâs,we were forever fighting over them, I finally just didnât say anything. I miss him, I am happy Granny is home. God bless.
So nice to see you guys working in the garden. My husband passed away in April 6th. So I am glad granny is doing well. Seeing you guys planting keep my mind busy. Thanks so much for that God bless you guys and the girls and grand baby
Im sorry for your loss..I lost my dad so the grieving is unbearable right now ..I'm feeling your pain ..I will pray for you from Australia đŠđș đ â€ïž
Sincerely Sorry for your loss.
đđđ
God bless and help you. Christ is risen so that we can too.
Sending prayers for comfort.
This video felt like home today. I'm so happy Granny is doing better, and Matt and Tipper can work in the garden together. I look forward to popsicle time! â€
Hey Miss Tipper, if you had a merch shirt that says, âGosh them thangs are good.â ~Matt, I would buy at least 2 of them. đ
đ
Iâm so glad to see you both together cutting up, planting, having fun and interesting conversation. Good to have you back Tipper and very thankful Granny is recovering well!
Matt was so patient behind you with his hoe or whatever he had đ waiting for you to plant the beans đ Good to see you in the garden Tipper. Glad Granny is doing well. â€
Glad Granny got her green beans ready for cooking. God has been with her all the way and will continue to be with her. Granny is God's little miracle and he will looking out for her as well as we all will be. God bless you always.
Continuing to pray for granny that God would give her strength.
U Guys Always make my Day. Matt Always remind me of my Daddy, just a great Image of Daddy, can Do and Fix Anything. I Always wanted to be beside him working and Explaining everything. Riding along on the Big Tractor was the most Exciting. I still Think of him so much, and he has been gone since 1967. I still feel the Impact as old as I am. U Guys Keep Pushing and getting it Done. Thank u for sharing!
Great to hear that Ganny's feeling better day by day, so glad she's home. I like watching the old shows to see the faces of some of the big stars during their early days. And now days the old shows are all we have because there are really no shows on, mostly all the fake reality shows.
So glade to hear Granny is feeling better. We always have at least 2 cups of chicken bone broth each day helps getting your strength back. I always add onions celery, carrots, peppers to my bone brothâŠI strain my broth and use the vegetables by adding some potatoes and us my chopper to chop all vegetables and make a cream soup, like you would make potato soup.
So glad to hear that Granny is feeling a little bit better every day. We are all prying for her to get better. I almost feel like she is my Granny as well.đ
Tipper, I'm new here. I judged you wrong so I have to say I'm sorry before you see any of my comments
I have changed my mind after watching several of your videos. I though you talked to much . Well again I'm sorry. I think your very humble and compassionate. Now I love you video. Your and your husband. He is a good man and seems like a good husband. So again I'm
So sorry. I hope you see this before you see my other comment. Oh my name us Sharon Daquin and I live in Mississippi. But please don't hold that against me. Love your and Matt's videos.â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
Thank you đ
So glad Granny's home and doing well. It's hard for me to imagine Matt working during these last months. I'm so glad he's been home. He's a big help to you and the girls. It's a blessing that he can lighten the load for you dear Tipper. â€Patsy
So glad your mama is home recovering and doing better Iâm still praying for her. It would be nice to visit her but only when sheâs up to it. Tipper youâre right she doesnât have to show us anything except her beautiful smile and her sweetness. Yâall jumping right into gardening Tipper you just got to get your hands in the dirt đ I pray you have a bountiful crop of everything this year. Give your mama a big hug from me â€

Matt's Hank Jr. comment cracked me up đ Tipper you are absolutely glowing, Spring in the garden really suits you. You can tell how much joy it brings you.
I'm so so glad that Granny is home!!! God Bless Granny!!! God Bless Us All!!!!
Tipper, I cooked our first fresh rattlesnake beans, fresh peach cobbler, and English peas this week. I have a small raised bed garden with squash, zucchini, tomatoâs,cucumber, baby bush okra, bell peppers and jalapeño. Reddoordoc who sends you his paintings each Sunday is my neighbor and employer of 28 years. I was his office nurse and we both retired and he sold his practice. He works continually in his garden and greenhouses and provides us with lots of fresh produce. We have green tomatoes, squash and zucchini, but no male plants to pollinate have bloomed so we will lose the first squash and zucchini. Iâm so happy Granny and you are home, continued prayers for you all.â€ïžđ
That is so wonderful đ
I just love Spring.....gardening!! God is so good!!
So glad Granny is home!! I will continue to pray for her body to heal.
God bless you all!!
Katie is a Mom and Corie soon to be,just doesn't seem possible, time sure gets away â€. Glad Granny is continuing to improve â€đ.
So true ! The Cycle of Life goes on and on. We say hello to new life and are just as intrigued by how amazing babies are as we were the first time we ever knew one. We say farewell to those who have come to the end of their days, saying â see you soonâ. And we wonder what the days of our lives will bring to us, trusting it all to God.
Tipper you are a lucky woman your family so missed you they would say the only thing better isif mama were here so glad you are home and Granny is home to getting to sleep in her bed and puttering around her house.Glad you are doing what you love working in the yard and gardening . I love when you and Matt talk sounds like you are telling a great story you will get it done all the planting just in time. Can't wait for our video of Matt and his tomato sandwich.Thank you for all you do for us on the channel . Tell corie to rest she will need it when that little boy comes. So happy Katie looks so happy to motherhood suits her love how when she talks about Ira

Ty Debbie
Whoops I put Debbie instead of ur name soz about that
Good morning.
I am very happy to hear-that Granny is doing well and that you are home and peaceful.
I really enjoy your Monday morning chats.
Grew up eating pink eye purple hill peas and love them more each year. Iâm 63 now and canât wait for some fresh ones this summer here in Mississippi âïž
Lol! Matt totally remembered the "Wonder Twin powers, ACTIVATE! " battle cry from the Saturday morning cartoon. I was cracking up! Thanks Matt.
đ
đ
That's SO good she's home. I bet she's over the moon to be in her own home again. -Gokotta.
Love seeing yâall in the garden, glad grannyâs doing better â€
It felt âback to normalâ tonight. So good to have yâall back in front of the camera. Loved the âTick Pieâ! Nutty Buddies are my favorite. Have a good week yâall. Love to Granny. đ„°
The Little Debbies with peanut butter were called Nutty Bars until recently, when the name was changed to Nutty Buddy. When I was a kid, our milkman sold Nutty Buddies, which were drumstick cones filled with chocolate-covered ice cream and peanuts. The Little Debbies with "ticks" in them are Raisin Creme Pies.
Glad Granny is getting her strength back. We have been planting a lot too. We are planting for us and to sell at the Union County Farmers Market. It seems like everything gets here so fast. Right now our strawberries are coming in. We pick them, then it rains, and just two days later we are picking again. We Thank the Lord for it though. A lot to keep all of us busy this time of year.
Your entire yard is a garden. Very pretty.
Thank you đ
I'm so glad to hear Granny is home from the hospital and gaining her strength back.
Everything is neat, tidy and organized. I can hardly wait to see everything come up and how they produce. Praying good weather and your bug problems will be dealt with.
Love seeing your garden! Hugs & kisses for sweet Granny! God bless yâall! đâ€ïž
The steps look great, Tipper! I find your videos so inspiring. So thankful your mom is home! I hope you are thoroughly enjoyin' your grandbaby and your garden therapy! đ
I've been inspired by your gardening for so long now, I finally tried my hand at it. I now have two Granny Smith apple sprouts thriving in a little pot. It's such an amazing feeling to see life grow before your very eyes!
Wonderful!
Love to see the garden get ahold on the two of you again. Thanks for air plane comedy. Glad granny got her green beans.
Precious,Granny so happy sheâs feeling better! Iâm pleased to see that you and Matt are able to get some things done. I so enjoy spending time with your family. Iâm in the process of settling my fatherâs and stepmomâs estate, so much paperwork, it never ends. Take care and God bless you all. đđâ€ïžđšđŠ
glad to see y'all getting back to normal again
I liked seeing the kraft alongside the kilt lettuce. Y'all make me miss Daddy quite a lot!
So glad sweet Granny is doing better and finally home. I just love seeing her and listening to her talk - she looks and sounds so much like my little Mamaw, who was raised in Haywood county. My mamaw has been gone 11 years, so I love watching videos of Granny to remind me of her.
Thanks for the Granny update. I am glad you and Matt can work in the garden, I know you enjoy it. Dennis Morgan
Thank you Dennis!!
My daddy use to work at a plant years ago when I was little & he would laugh & tell us about the lady would buy moon pies & diet drinks. I can remember that.
I have not found anything that will stop the squash bugs or vine borers, except covering with white netting as soon as they germinate. I have tried the companion planting but it has not worked for me. I don't like cucumbers but I love squash of all kinds. Those dang squash bugs and vine borers are my nemesis here in the Ozarks. Good luck.
I enjoy the sunday evening videos so much. It feels like I'm sitting with you having a visit. Its such a nice way to end the weekend. So glad Granny is home and improving. Prayers for your family. Have a blessed week.
I'm so glad! Thank you đ
Welcome home Granny!
I think the thing about Little Debbie cakes was when we were young, they were easy to grab if you were stopping at the gas station or the like and needed a snack. As we get older, I think we just don't do that running around and eating snacks like we did. Or at least I don't. I like a honey bun or Swiss Roll every once in a while but hardly ever buy them these days.
Your yard is looking lush and lovely! Can't wait until your garden is filled up with green stuff! It won't be long! So glad that Granny is home and doing well. I know you've got to be happy to be home. Continued prayers!
Tipper, oh and for Matt not liking radishes try quartering them and roasting them with a bit of olive oil and salt . Takes on a new flavor and they are so good!
It was so good sitting a spell with y'all after planting the garden. I didn't realize how much I would miss it until you were gone Tipper. Thanks for letting us join y'all in the garden.
Our pleasure!
So happy Granny is home and getting stronger. Garden is looking great and that tractor is helping take some of the work off you guys. Hope you have bountiful garden. God bless take care.
My mom and daughter used to love to watch Matlock together. Thank you for bringing back that memory. My daughter likes the Zebra Cakes but I'm with Granny on liking the Nutty Buddies. So glad to be seeing you in the garden again Tipper.
OMG tick cakes lol I will never look at the little Debbie raisin cookie the same lol I love sitting around chatting!! Thank yall!! I Love your channel Tipper! Matt's hilarious he cracks me up. I always get my spirits lifted after watching!
TICK PIES!!!! Omgooness....I love it!!!! đ€Łđ€Ł
We are trying the rattlesnake beans this year. We watched you gather big harvest last year, and decided to try them. We usually plant white half runners. We also got cattle panels for them to vine on . You provide alot of good information and ideas.
Hope you enjoy them đ
White Half runners, Will Be Hard To Beat!!!
Iâm also trying rattlesnake beans to see how they do in my area. I am far North and West of you so weâll see. Itâs always nice to try something new. Iâll be able to plant them in about 2 or 3 weeks.
Y'all got a lot accomplished today. Y'all work so hard to keep your family fed with good home grown food. God bless y'all. Love & prayers
đâ€đâ€đâ€đâ€đâ€
We are so pleased to know about your mother Tipper! Your yard looks beautiful as well as your garden! Such a nice video today and I bet ya'll will have a great garden this year. Thinking about all of you â€ïž
We used to plant Kentucky Wonder green beans.â€â€â€
I'm so happy for you and Matt, for having that new tractor and benefitting from the help it provides. Great video.
Thank you đ
Tick pies!!! That's funny! My papaw use to call them raisen cakes "fly pies"! Those were his favorite.
Tipper!! you will love the strawberries in the raised bed!! Be sure though to fill the bed to overflowing ⊠the dirt will sink and the berries wonât like being in a hole! congratz! prayers for all!! â€
Love watching Granny cooking videos hope sheâll be up to it soon!! Sit in the sun get that vitamin D.so good for you granny!! God bless.đđ»â€ïž
I have one strawbery plant in a pot (zone 5) that comes back every yesr and makes a berry or two. I repotted it and it loved it! Leaves as big as my hand and lots more berries! I hope you have great luck!! đ
Mixing some dish soap with water and spraying on helps with aphids and other bugs. Inexpensive and not chemicals.
You and Matt look sharp in your gardening hats đ
So glad Granny is home and improving every day! Your garden is coming along nicely! We are behind on planting our garden as well. Rain has been the biggest problem. Like you said, we'll get to it when we can. It's hard for me not to get anxious about it.
Thanks so much for sharing this Sunday afternoon! Look forward to it every week!
Y'all Sure Are Hardworkers. Grounding Is Good For You. Getting Your Feet,Hands In The Dirt. So Glad Granny Is Doing Better. So Glad Your Home Tipper. I Missed You. God Bless Y'all đ
I never even know lady bugs bit anything but aphids.
It was a wonderful visit.
God Bless
As far as companion plants, tomatoes and carrots love each other!!!
There a man who gardens in Tennessee says use ashes keep squash bugs away. I'm try it this year with my zucchini
Glad you can start getting your garden and grannyâs getting strongerđđ»đđ»đđ»â€ïž
â€my husband's favorite little debbie is Swiss rolls!!!đâ€â€â€
I know others have commented this before, but try roasting the radishes with potatoes or sweet potatoes or turnips with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. The radishes really mellow out when theyâre baked.
Tell Matt to freeze a nutty buddy for a cold treat! đ
You and Matt are super great people
Thank you!
Enjoyed the chat. Looking forward to seeing the gardens grow đ
What Matt calls Tick Pies I call Fly Cakes.
đ
I enjoy every day spending time with y'all. It's nice to know Granny's continuing to make improvements. I was wondering if y'all were going to put in a small garden for her. I'm looking forward to seeing the big garden get planted in the near future. Continued prayers, and God bless.
Thank you for the Granny update. I am glad you and Matt can work in the garden like you enjoy. Dennis Morgan.
Thank you Dennis!!
Happy that Ms Granny is home and doing well! I did not know that ladybugs would bite you. However, I do know that wasps will sting you....I got reminded of that fact today! lol
I'm so glad you mentioned planting nasturtium w cukes. I had forgotten about my nasturtium seeds... đ Thx! Lol, I bet a vid of Matt shooting squash bugs would go viral, haha!đ My brother & I used to say wonder twins activate, too! Hee hee, great memories! So glad you have a tractor to help make it easier! I hope y'all have a very blessed week. đđ”ïžđ±đ đđ
In PA we grew up with TastyKakes. My uncle drove their truck and my aunt would have bunches of outdated cakes, lol. I try not to eat any nowdays.
I hope you have a good week too đ
I love the older shows too!
Im growing peas for the first time! My Dad used to plant them by our playhouse for us to snack on...I cant wait! I love fresh peas so much!...Yard snack
I like the way yâall built steps into the hills.
Oh, your garden structures and beds are just great. When its filled out with plants ... wow!
Thanks so much đ
Thank you so much for this video. I missed you all on Sundays
đ Granny, I pray for your health.đ
Thank you Pressley family. Sure enjoy the outdoor life with you..đŸđż
Our pleasure!
Well, I won't have a garden again this year. My health isn't going well. The doctor seems to think that is too ambitious yet. I will be patient and concentrate on getting better. I get so excited watching you work in your garden. It makes me really want fresh vegetables. Nothing like vegetables right out of the garden.
Praying you get better!!
So good to see what all you did outside. Get some rest you two. đ
Petunias look amazing in a green stalk
For squash bugs an ol timer told me to remove the lower leaves of a squash plant and early on wrap the lower stalk in aluminum foil.
We enjoy your channel and hope that all are well. Hope blessings on your family however it seems like Matt needs a break. The man works all the time.. Rest when you all can.
I used to like the Swiss roll desserts, too. I moved here from England as a little girl, and my aunties used to send us all kinds of treats. My favourites were Penquin bars (chocolate on the outside with biscuit and fruit on the inside), they were fairly small. At that time, we couldn't get flakey bars here, so they'd arrive to us from England too. We also received little tiny cube candies that tasted like flowers (they might have been lavender candies). Then, of course, there's the 'can't live without' Cadbury bars...yummy! Now I'm allergic to cocoa, so I can't eat chocolate, but I sure do a good number on the other goodies. Thanks for bringing back these memories Tipper and Matt đ†Something else I go OCD (for real, not a joke) on once every few months is the 'Oh! Caramel cakes in a box. I really enjoy watching these peaceful sit downs with one another while you chit-chat and enjoy your Popsicles. Makes me feel happy. Thank you, thank uou Thank-you xoxoxoâ€
It all sounds so good đ
Need that t shirt for a friend. She loves and collects pigs â€â€
