Hello, I am Volkan Umut, I am sharing my ship port loading and construction equipment crane excavator videos on this channel.
Traffic marine videos are among the videos that many of us love watching. As a crane operator, I do port loading, ship loading and ship unloading. On this channel, I decided to publish working videos of giant construction machines about ports and cargo ships.

I can’t believe you swing the clam over the cab of the truck. Here in the US that’s a huge no no lol
It’s not dangerous for you, but it is for the driver you’re swinging the bucket over!
I operate a 870 in kentucky USA... it's electric and moved up and down rail tracks... we have an 885 at our dock that unloads barges... they are the only in USA... there is an 875 like mine electric in Texas. My company owns it as well... ❤

not Vulkan name is Volkan .
I kind off get annoyed at people saying there is no skill here. As a heavy machine operator I know that knowing your machine, having the mussel memory to know what input to give where and when. very much can only be built with seat time. That grab is just a pendulum on the end of the boom. You need to accelerate then decelerate just right at the end of the swing or you will have a pants browning moment as it feels like the machine is going over. (Probably not with a 90 degree swing but a 180 might. With soil/rock is would). Try swinging a bucket of water on the end of a broom. To combine all movements to be efficient takes reasonable skill.

So smooth and I love how you lower as you get in to the grain container, just over the edge. Saving you seconds on each load, adding up to hundreds more a week. Is that accurate? Awesome skills!
The port most likely does not see ships every day, or at least not every crane at the port is in use at the same time, so there is some break between each unload/load of a ship. Operators don't really care for how much they unload/load in an hour. The efficiency just comes from getting back into the rhythm of things, coming back the morning after or maybe after changing which machine you have driven, since every machine handles a little bit different. Of course it helps with how fast things get unloaded/loaded, but it's not really a thought.

Wow you sure do have a dangerous job. This port is madness! So much different than here in the US, where most cranes are automated and where you can and cannot go are strictly regulated. Each truck has a designated spot so there is not this confusion between crane operator and truck driver.

@@triz313 Yes, 99% of all our port cranes are actually port gantry's that have been programmed to move back and forth in its work area, taking things off ships and stacking them in the port. Then another gantry would take those stacked crates and move them onto trucks all waiting in a designated area away from the moving gantry's until they are ready to be loaded.
If it is loose grain like this, it is pumped out into a silo on the port, then trucks just drive under the silo and are automatically filled to a couple tons.
With that being said, there are absolutely still manual cranes, gantry's, and other heavy machinery on ports in case of something going wrong, or something doesnt fit the parameters of the automated system.

Aqui onde moro tem muito disso, mas os próprios navios tem os braços que fazem esse serviço. Acredito que deva ser mais complicado que a maquina do vídeo ja que o que fica no navio fica longe do caminhão
For some unknown reason, I've become infatuated with shipping, it's support and moving cargos from port to port. The loading and unloading etc. Perhaps watching ships on lake Michigan coming and going from my brother's house. I remember thinking, These men are more orchestrated than any symphony I've ever heard or seen.

They are getting weighed on a scale and need to be within a certain amount +/- if they are Noth within that amount then they have to go get some removed or added. I hope this answers your question. 😊

İzlerken kolay gibi görünüyor ama o kepçeyi hareket ettirirken milyon tane detayı takip etmen gerekiyor sürekli maksimum dikkat modunda 1 saat çalış maraton koşmuş gibi yorulursun, dışardan kolay görünebilir, milyon kepçeyi kusursuz doldursan tek hata yapsan gemiyi delersin kepçeyi eğersin Allah korusun ölüm bile olabilir insanlar o hatayı konuşur çok zor bir iş. Hayır hiç kepçe kullanmadım ama gördüğünü anlayabiliyor insan dikkatli izlerse.
