    Mine are hitting freezing temps consistently for over 2 months now, with frost a few times,... I had no idea these plants were so cold hardy... I am looking forward to some flowers this year... Thanks for the watch, your channel has inspired me a great deal...

      Yea I have no experience with the frost. But they are pretty damn hardy and always surprising me

    Massive amount of info, which I really need, before I decide if I will buy a Trich or not. I want to do the best for the plant. I research plants before buying so I can give them the best life possible. I appreciate this video greatly. Now I know what to look for that indicates culture problems. The color of the plant, the amount of sunshine, and nutrients and amount of water should all be paid close attention to. This video easily gave me more info than dozens of others I have watched. Keep up the good work!

    What a horde! You sure know what they like. We had a big one of these for years but the 2021 texas freeze kiled it. We have 3 smaller ones but man what a hit. Learned a lot from this vid, thanks for sharing.

      Appreciate it! Yea I'm always very grateful of our climate in Sydney Australia as I hear a lot of people's experiences in us and Canada sounds very difficult to grow with some of the climates.

    I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and I have the same cactus that you are talking about and I've been wondering if I would be able to plant mine outside but I'm concerned about the cold winters we get. If you can help me figure this out I'd appreciate it very much.

    • @CurtsCactus
      @CurtsCactus  Před 6 měsíci

      Maybe give cactuscapacity a message on that one or put a post up on Trichocereus community on Facebook. I've heard they are pretty hardy with frost. But I don't get much at all so I have no experience.

      No, philadelphia is too cold for trichocereus in the winter.

    I need to figure out how to treat and protect my trich's from black spot. I've lost maybe half my plants to black spot.

    • @CurtsCactus
      @CurtsCactus  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Send me a pic on insta if you want I can have a look at it. But it's most likely due to humidity. If you cant change humidity you need them in full sun.

    Amazing Tricho farm! Cacti look great. What do you use for fertilizer? Are you selling tricho cacti or seeds? Looks like you are running out of space and have lots of seedlings to up pot! Thanks

      @CurtsCactus  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks appreciate it. Gypsum, insect frass, blood and bone, rock dust/volcanic rock dust, and whatever extra there is. And then also power feed or any liquid feed with some beneficial microbes in it. Im only selling cuts at the moment
