Septic is what the true problem is. “Big sugar” is not pumping water from below the lake back into the lake, to pollute it. The water is polluted with Nitrates long before it reaches Clewsiston and surrounding areas. Population explosion, and a lack of sewer infrastructure, is what is causing the vast majority of issues.

It’s both of those things and more. When you get to the bottom of it it’s really our over indulgence that’s doing it.

Since the water flows south, Orlando’s polluted waters and all those north of Okeechobee are killing our ecosystem.

It’s so much more than the cane industry. To make a long story short; it’s our over indulgence that’s killing it.

Sugar farming isn't good but no water flows north into lake Okeechobee from the cane fields like this guy shows in his video he needs facts! The cane field runoff flows south, ZERO water flows north into lake O

Can we get back to fishing and leave the environmental virtue signaling to others?
