@@bradthurkle7217 I never stopped liking new music, the 80s were good, but get in to King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, then modern life isn't so rubbish. I find lots of good new music now, just don't hear it on the radio.
@@sharpvidtube yeah righto thats cool man. Loved the name of that band hehe i shall check them out. Look dont get me wrong i do like some artist today like The Week End, love Miley Cyrus and not becsuse shes pretty and all that just love her music. I hated the 90s it was like hiphop overload but some it was ok i mean i liked MMN and many more but god it was just to much how ever there was alot of good stuff that did come out of the 90s but i think like every decade ive noticed now music is just evolves. Like techno music which i dont mind acturly and county music its all changing and making its own genre. I do nown again just playing some classic classical music. These people that have spent all there life to profect an instrument and put them alltogether playing all of them is brilliant. Im really injoying stings concert on blue ray in my projctor screen with my surround sound set up in the shed lately its brilliant. You get a taste of everything.
HOLD ME NOW: The only haunting song that you will ever hear.....it will last you a lifetime.....you never want this song to end.....it will bring tears to your eyes many years from now when you hear it again.....you will remember this statement forever!.....I know....I'm pushing 77..... Thank you Mr. Bailey and associates.
As soon as I hear the piano at the intro it always makes me think back to those incredible times, first love, being young and healthy, really magical to be honest, miss those days..
One of the best parts of my life was the music of the 80s and i am so very lucky to have been in my late teens and twenties in that era- it will forever bring me happiness remembering.
Under rated band back in the day. I had lots of good times with this song playing in the background. They are in my top 10 bands in my lifetime. Thank you for the memories!
Underrated .....THE most over and miss used word on TY with regard to old bands. I what way are they possibly underrated? What next....ahead of their time?
Saw the Thompson Twins in April 1984 in a small theater, great show! They were the first band I saw that used wireless headphones. Met Thomas Dolby in the audience, as he was performing there that week.
Absolutely love this. Takes me back to the 80's. Pity te rest of the band were not there. Tom still sounds as brilliant as ever. Came to my town yesterday.
Wow!!! Where did all this GREAT MUSIC OF MY TEEN YEARS GO?!!! I LOVED Thompson Twins!!! Great to see Tom Bailey. Greatly miss the other two original members though!!!❤❤
A song lesson to our 20 some things listen to how the start builds and adds interest, the piano then the drums come in, then the synth perfect 80s style truly timeless.
My dad worked security at that concert. I was so jealous of him, getting to see them! (I was at a summer camp of some sort...) And of course, for him it was just a job. I did eventually get to see them in concert, at the SIU-C arena, in 1986 I think.
Fascinating when you have sung a song so many hundreds of times after 40 years you don't have the energy to sing it properly any more. Still after all this time the song is still worth listening to. This version is like a defalted balloon.
It's fantastic to see bands from my mis-spent teenage years still out there doing it , keeping the memories alive .they are a class act , and thank you for sharing this .
The best thing that has ever happened to me in this life ...I'm gonna be the one I say I am..thank you every last fan of these Thompson twins. ..I am the other twin flame...kirkman() and Earhart....long live us ...we will fulfill our ancestors and the dream of inhabiting the new earth. It's true look at vandelux!!!! Listen!!!
This is Daniel ales yes I am a big fan of the Thompson twins all ways have been a big fan I am a fan of all the songs that I play on utube on my phone god bless u all
I'm featuring the music of the Thompson Twins on my YT channel, so I was curious to hear what the band sounded like playing live today, and CZcams led me to this clip. An interesting performance. I ended up being distracted by the drummer and bass player, because it looked like to me that they weren't actually playing their instruments. I don't know why they wouldn't be...in a live concert...but something seemed off. Singers are going to have bad nights, we can't expect them to be perfect every single night so I don't want to judge Tom on this single performance. At least he is singing! Pay to go see The Eagles in concert and you're going to hear Don Henley on tape. But still, it's weird that the musicians seemed to be playing along to a prerecorded track. I hope that's not the case.
The 80s was such a awakening of music. Just wish I could go back and never leave.
Same. Im stuck in the 80’s
80s and 90s last great decades
Same

I find Captain Of Her Heart and Stepping Out also haunting.

So, to those complaining... it sounds like you’re searching for some perfect world that you’ll never find....
Well done : ¬ ) Proof that comment surfing is time well spent, well maybe : ¬ )
Lol
That's better than searching for some perfect pitch that he'll never find.
The Thompsons best song in my opinion...
let's not forget Lay your hands on me....🌺
Without a doubt tbh couldn’t get into the rest of there songs
I disagree. My fave is Lies Lies Lies…
Love on your side es muy buena
Doctor doctor!
This made me tear up like a bastard. 😢
*WHERE DID ALL THE GOOD TIMES GO* ?
God knows mate...
Good times every day. Open your heart.
@Mark Johanson OH STFU. Always blaming and not accepting your own faults. Presidents barely have an effect day to day.
It's all subjective; the good times that is.
Down the drain my friend
Takes me back to the 80s!!
No shit!

Not under rated at all, what country were you in?
They are and were rated Very Highly

This is such a treat! Tom looks and sounds great! Such an iconic song, love it as much today as I did in 1984.

God I love your music Tom and all the Thompson Twins. Pity more of the band weren't present, but this is still good enough for me.
THE OTHER TWO, MADE THE SONG AWESOME!
been a fan of Thompson Twins from the beginning, Beautiful song writing.
The sound of synthesizer is heavenly
2018 when the world was still normal place to live and the song tells it all
Thompson Twins we’re awesome! Saw them twice and they were fantastic.
A song lesson to our 20 some things listen to how the start builds and adds interest, the piano then the drums come in, then the synth perfect 80s style truly timeless.
I'm loving this band. These women are great!
Oh please crap out there now

Saw them in the early 80s at the Illinois State Fair. Met them as they got off stage. Tom was very very nice!

Feel like I'm in my twenties again, what a great song ever.
First band I ever saw live was the Thompson twins around 1986 when I was 16. Played with OMD. Still remember being in the 1st row
I don't mind being 68 now, this was the music of my youth.
Beautiful.. thank You 🤝😎💫✝️

Very, very wonderful
At one point this song dominated all the charts. Have some respect.
A big hit back then.
I'm back in HS with my neon pink Thompson Twins socks on attending the concert outside of Chicago. It's like I'm right back there. Thank you, TT

Adoro essa música. 👏🏻👏🏻
Saw the Thompson Twins in 84 at concerts on the common in Boston, Mass. Awesome show!
Beautiful finale'
En coro🔥🔥fantástico!!😍
Part of the soundtrack of my youth.....😁👍👏
Esta canciosn es magica. Me transporta a mi adolescencia.
To say that Tom Bailey phoned this one in would unfairly cast the telephone in a negative light.
Gracias 🙂
Excelente.. otro matis de este lindo tema .. pero ahora en ésta epoca
That is a special one right there .. it made it all much more live perfect is no good live is the real deal!

the babes here are gorgeous :)
Saw the Thompson Twins very close at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara in May 1984. Never forget that show..
this is awesome......
With a guest appearance by Les Dawson with the keyboard introduction.
In all seriousness, this is genuine pop magic!
His keyboard playing is out of time, and ouch, hitting the wrong notes. I would have thoughts he would have cracked it by now, 40 years later!!
Haha!
Girls 😍
great band in the day. great song. how utterly lifeless is this band
Temasoo

I saw TT in about 1978 which must have been one of their first gigs and I use to go in the same pub at them at the time.
That would have been awesome. Can I ask where they used play in the late 70’s? Pubs in London i assume?
Awesome. Rock On Dude
