10/10 Really enjoyed the video man :). I'm Immortal 3 trying to push for radiant, and improvement and good/useful guides are scarce. Good video for getting back to the basics and mastering them so you don't forget it mid game. I can tell you know your stuff and I respect you for that, easy subscribe from my side.
You actually really out-do most of the tutorial channels out there who have teams of people trying to make the video look and sound professional. This is some good stuff with really well done explanations

the problem with strafing in low elo is that the enemy aim is so bad that when you strafe you actually help bring your head into the enemy's crosshair rather than dodging it

U can escape low elo without counter strafing😂
Idk how serious you are and how much sarcasm there is, but if you were serious- low elo is more about luck because they control these factors way less. So, whether you do strafe or don't, they might luck out and hit you on the head without controlling their crosshair (their placement on your body/head) and their recoil, but the luck factor you can never control. Just like you can't jump high in the air and one shot sheriff someone in the head milion miles away- if you hit that shot, it's pure luck. So there's not much you can do about the luck factor, but what you can do, though, is have answers for people who are trying to control those factors.

I have been practicing a bit but most of the times I miss my strafe and then enemy just mows me down with a spray that they put no thought into
I feel so bad that even though I dedicated myself to practice the mechanics, i lost to someone just spraying and praying
But then I see people like you hitting crisp shots to people who are spraying and praying
Makes me wonder whether I just need more practice or am I doing something wrong?
this may be a bad tip but this tip is similar to unbinding crouch. its main purpose is just to remove the crouching habit (mainly the spray habit follows up). So what i had back then was I had crouch on ALT key and i had a bad crouching habit. so what i did was i just moved my crouch to another key (caps lock), to help me get over my bad crouching habit but at the same time i can still crouch if i really need to. cuz there are situations that i really need to crouch
(this was not really intentional, i just copied sinatraa's settings and he had crouch on caps lock so i tried it and freaking made me win so many more fights.) cuz it refrained me from crouching in every fight

The thing is I come from cs (lem rank) with lots of hours put on 1v1 arenas I know all about these information but I can’t help it but feel afraid of taking duels by peeking (peekers advantage etc) cause the movement is so sluggish I used to abuse jiggle peaking in cs but I am constantly afraid in valorant
you forgot the part where the enemy proceeds to one bullet tap you at the head before your strafes are even used

@@edwardkang9496 guys, I have a question. So, all these techniques are basically to compensate if you miss the first shot. Let's say you are holding an angle, lets say you are playing as Defender and you are inside C bombsite, aiming at the C Long. So let's say the enemy popped his head off where you aim, but you ended up missing the shot anyway. These shooting techniques are mainly to *not instantly die* after you miss the first shot, right? So my question is more about how to approach the fight, rather than techniques on "what to do after you are already in the fight". I know he showed the techniques for approaching angles but I meant as someone that is defending, not pushing. I never know if I should just stand still waiting for them to show up or if I should be already strafing. Idk. Im actually having trouble to describe what my issue is. But it really seems to me that these techniques only work if the enemy dont instantly one tap you in the head and that seems to happen to me EVERY TIME. I dont even have time to apply anything. And no, I'm not in predictable angles, just seems like everyone is a monster in raw aiming.

about not pre-firing when jiggling. sometimes I see someone but didn't react fast enough to pinch the shot off. now I'm in a really awkward spot because I don't know if it is safe to jiggle again as he could just be holding me. but clearly not jiggling the corner is dangerous.
You can shoulder peek to bait out their shots and then wide peek to kill them

so for counter-strafing, is it just, holding a, letting go of a then holding d and in the window of time where you're slowed down you shoot, then as you move right since you're holding d, you let go and hold a again, shoot asap, and repeat?
When I practice the strafe and the tapping my shots go off in crazy directions even though my crosshair is on point ?
When you are you doing your counterstrafe, you are stopping with a and d right ?
Is your second shot also 100% accurate? I've been trying to strafe and the 1st shot ends up accurate but the second one is really hard to.

How do you guys strafe and shoot? I can't seem to get the timing right and my shots go waayy off where my crosshair is. I know I have to be in a complete stop but I can't seem to do it as fast and precise as he does.
Ill try this, i just cant get used to the game, coming from Arena Shooters it just feels weird to me to stand still while shooting.

On the lvl 3-4 counter strafing do you let go both keys after counter strafing before inputting another?
No I’m always holding one key down but never both at the same time

@@Patron130 Yeah i can consistently hit one accurate shot while constantly strafing. Sometimes i get two but three is almost impossible. I turned on movement error in my crosshair and it seems like theres no movement error for only 6-7 frames while it takes 7 frames for two shots. So i think unconsciously u let go of both keys for a splitsecond. Or you can actually get the timing of a single frame right every single time lol.

No matter how many videos like these I watch, I can never apply this in my actual gameplay. Constantly making the same mistakes and sometimes lost on where to preaim or why my shots keep missing at long range even when it looks like I hit them… And this is why I’m hardstuck silver with no hope to improve… What can I do to get out of this and/or relearn the game?

Your default should be run not walk. As in you shouldn’t have to hold a button to be moving full speed. A lot of these peek are all going to be while you’re not walking. You can still peek with maximum speed without making sound.

You can actually see the tips working in his deathmatch WHILST he's saying it too. Start at 1:42 and look how quickly he kills everyone up until 1:52. Then watch after and notice how reyna didnt just stand still and moved around more so it took way longer to kill her.
