Try to lurk in gold and you'll have 4 dead teammates before you even see the enemy on the minimap.
Same in bronze lol. It's either rush with your team and die or be last player standing 1v5 after 10 seconds

As someone who is often on viper and omen, astra, those two are by far the best lurk agents in ranked. And lurker's most important role in my opinion would be map control and timings

as an avid lurker i am grateful for this video
I started playing lurk because I wasn't confident in setting up the team as an Initiator and wasn't confident in playing Duelist. Playing lurk kinda made the game easy for me as I only needed to relay info and catch enemies off guard. But lurking can be a 50/50. You really need your teammates to win their duels to keep enemies distracted while you get the backstab.
Pro tip for lurking is making sure you pick an Agent with passive utility, so the best Agents are Cypher, Viper, Chamber, and Killjoy. Omen can be good but he's more better as a Controller than a lurker. Cypher and Viper are good to start as a Lurker since their utility can be activated from everywhere on a map.

When I play Cypher on Attack I lurk maximum of rounds
Because after I do the flank trip, I use my second trip somewhere mid to get kills from just having patience
But if I get that enemy does not rotate from mid, I go site with teammates
Else no lurk with other agents
A small tip, whenever you show a 2d print of a map, please don't forget to say which map it is, rather than leaving us to guess by the shape of the map.
It shld essentially take 5s or less to guess the map it depends on ur gamesense
Tbf if you don’t know the map layouts you should be focusing on fundamentals first before watching a lurk video
I think it's really important to highlight that lurking is NOT waiting in a corner for every enemy to rotate to your team and collecting late-round kills that don't matter. The misconception that a lurker needs to be completely silent at all times happens in every rank: essentially, you're making the round a 4.5v5 in the enemy's favor. More often than not, playing like this will result in your team losing the round and you having a meaningless flank that's simply way too late to have any impact.
Although stealth is important in a lurk, the element of surprise should be used to 1. gather information safely(so as to not get punished) and 2. DISRUPT rotates either by applying pressure to stall enemies from rotating to your team or by cutting off rotations(for example going top mid on sunset), the latter of which should be the main way a lurker will get kills(NOT FLANKING! Flanking can be good but if you find yourself ending up flanking more often than not, you're lurking wrong).
Late round kills that don't matter?? You're going to have to explain that one buddy..
@@krizzle3853 he means that since your team is always in a losing position because you're baiting them by lurking incorrectly, you have to provide >1 player worth of value later in the round to make up for it, which isn't sustainable for winning

Can I lurk as a controller?
Depends on the controller. If you're playing any agent that can send util across the map/not being here. then yes (omen, astra, viper) if you can't use "good" util, smokes for you then it's usually better to let some1 else do it (clove, brimstone, harbor). You can usually lurk with any agent if you get a double role on that agent class, double controller, double duelist etc

This is all good but this game is just AIM AIM AIM and AIM. If u have better AIM you win. If u are new to this rigged game just AIM train, no gamesens bullsh*t and other crap, just AIN AIM train and you will get better.
Aim is helpful but it’ll only go so far. Good aim won’t really matter once ur playing against people with just as good aim.
useless against people who can also aim like the other person said, its a 5v5 tac shooter, not cod, aim helps you eliminate the enemy team but what really matters is everything else as well as aim
if the enemy can aim as good as you but also think better you're gonna lose
