@lesho8349 It's sad, we look for appreciation from others to feel worthy and never find appreciation from ourselves. If we could say great stuff to ourselves and not worry of the world, things would have been different
Has Joann written a book or books? She's so full of wisdom and smarts. Hearing her talk about young girls and young ladies not being taught about so many things these days really struck a note with me. I'm 80 years young and I was taught and picked up by observing so many things about manners, body carriage, tact, kindness. So many things that, frankly, make life easier, sweeter.......AND helps us be more powerful and influential. I feel re-inspired to get back to a bit of 'artifice' to make me feel better about myself.

One of the very few makeovers I am not crazy about. I would have kept the layers longer while keeping the overall length chin length. More sophisticated and flattering to her great features!
The dress looks frumpy but if it makes her feel good - it’s a win
It would have been better if it was an A-line shape. She could also have worn a scarf to keep the attention on her face rather than her middle. The hair and make-up was right for her. The dress, less so. A short bolero style jacket would also allow her to add brighter colour when wearing a plain colour dress. Maroon is not the best colour.

I love this look. Wish we could have seen a bit more of the excellent makeup, but was intrigued by all the advice and undergarment adjustments to get her looking great in that dress that totally shows off her legs. Christopher really pulled off some glam with that gorgeous colour and also hit both the casual and classy marks! I wish my legs looked as nice in boots as hers do. I feel like the heart of this makeover was colour; it was good to see her eyebrows again, too.
To everyone saying her look wasn’t practical for Alaska, have you never heard of long coats, or even wearing cover up pants in the car that you take off once inside? Anyone who lives with winter knows how! Nothing stops a woman who wants to wear a dress or skirt. 😉

You guys are amazing! I truly thought you would not be able to make her eyes pop with her existing eyeglass frames, but you totally pulled it off. She looks wonderful! Your mom's comments about the drop-shoulder tops were a game changer. I've rarely seen women wear that silhouette successfully, and there she was, recommending it for Lori, with stellar results!! This is the type of content that honestly changes lives. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you. Often when I recommend 'off the shoulder seam' I add shoulder pads if needed to balance. I know we were taught the shoulder seam should come right to the edge but that doesn't always work. Often garment is too tight....which, by the way, too tight and too short seems to be the awful look of today!

There are very few natural beauties in the world. Those who wake up looking fabulous or swim and come out of the water looking gorgeous are few and far between. The trick is using makeup and not look as if you applied it with a trowel. These videos are extremely helpful.

I love hearing women’s stories about their lives and their journeys, and how they’ve handled the aging process … I’m 43 and just beginning to see those inevitable changes, and it is a real mind trip!! Even though your mind knows it will get old, the reality of your body changing is almost surreal. As most of these women say, “I’m 58, but I feel 25”, and now I get it!!
I love your channel because you & your team are obviously making a difference in womens’ lives! And when we are young it is easy to say you want to be “natural”; and you can get away with no makeup, no hair products, and very little sleep; but as we age everything changes, between hormones and gravity we lose what we took for granted.
It is so fun to see these women transformed; and for those that never took an interest in makeup, hair, or fashion, it is wonderful to see them empowered to learn what to do to make themselves feel beautiful! Because in the end all that matters is that they feel they are in control of their beauty, and Christopher and his team give them the knowledge they are looking for. I love watching your videos for a reminder that there are good things happening in the world, when people feel good about themselves they usually spread that out to everyone they meet, and we could all use more of that 🙏🏼💛

I don’t know if you’ll read this, but I wanted to give you some feedback.
I think your channel is FANTASTIC. When I first found your channel over 5 years ago, i loved binge watching 😁
Your message in the video about your drop in CZcams revenue made me wonder why I don’t compulsively watch every video anymore, which I certainly used to.
I am only speaking for myself, and I may be in a minority, but I thought I would share in case my opinion can help.
I miss the behind the scenes stuff - we used to see so much more of the journey.
Even in a shorter video, we would see a clip of the hair colour decision and why that colour was being chosen.
You used to show your interactions with the clients - I loved watching you put them at their ease, and start to draw out their personality. You’re really good at it, and I miss that.
We used to see more detailed clips of the make up being put on - I’m a good couple of decades younger than most of your clients, but I still found it interesting to see the process and the choices being made.
I have not enjoyed the more artificial elements you have included within the last year or so - where you talk about the child within etc. I know that most women want to look younger, but talking about their inner child came over as a bit infantilising to me.
In this video, I really liked the shots with the different coloured cloths around her neck - it simply but vividly conveyed how much difference the colour can make. Excellent - would happily see more of that.
I hope some of this is of use, because it would be a huge shame if your channel ended.
I know there is a feature to put up polls on CZcams - perhaps this could be a way of helping us, your viewers, communicate with you about what we prefer. I realise that not all of your viewers are going to be tech literate enough to use the poll, but it might help.

Patience. There is a reason for everything. If you are referring to "the old format" as when at reVamp! salonspa that format is an impossibility.

It’s amazing that women today can’t be bothered with making themselves look pretty, younger, poised. I’ve always lived by mom’s advice to stand up with shoulders back head up and SMILE. It’s been difficult of late with my vertigo but I will still put in my makeup. I still do my hair. I may need a change in my style but I still try. I love Christopher’s ability to make all women look younger and feel good about themselves. God bless you!
Maybe you’ve got a lot more time on your hands than most women. Younger women these days aren’t just housewives - they have careers, go to school, have outside interests and sports and do a lot more socialising.
I’m glad you found what makes you feel good, but what other people do to make themselves feel good doesn’t have to be the same.
I was a very busy woman. I had a career, 2 babies and a household. I was sick throughout both my pregnancies but I still went to work. Drive 25 miles each way. I worked 10 hours a day. If you don’t care enough about yourself, that’s on you. Pajamas aren’t appropriate dress for business. Pull yourself together ladies.

I don't know why people think she looked better before. I think she looks amazing. I don't know why they keep putting people in shapeless clothes. This lady could definitely have worn a thick belt with that dress or something to define her waist. I don't think it would be possible to make her look like she had a big rear end unless they padded it!

We just have to learn how to replace things that disappear in aging. Eye lashes, eye brows, upper lip to name a few! Staging Your Comeback is the best resource I have seen to help yo with that!

I also wanted to see what her legs looked like without the boots. All in all, she looks good and definitely has a spark about her, which she wanted to have. Good job!
I agree about pulling the waist on the dress in as she has a nice figure. More definition in her shoulders would balance out the hips as well. Her new hair style is so youthful.
It does appear that way, doesn't it? Actually it took the waist cincher and heavy duty shaper to help create that waist. Otherwise we'd have a protruding abdomen, short waist, saddle bags, and heavy calves/knees which are all sort of eliminated showing the more slender part of her leg. See thumbnail.
Just fantastic Christopher, Robert, Mom, All of you. This is another winner! This really brought out the lady here; her whole personality bloomed just by the look on her face! And she's a fine rose for sure; now she has so much sass! Fab hair and this time shorter isn't older; a rockin' look most definitely. And the garment and accessories matched the face and hair to a T! I totally get it when she said the part about disappearing as you age. I turned 61 last month but people tell me I look like I'm in my forties. While people have always told me I'm attractive, I have never felt pretty. She is and always beautiful in my eyes.
