Madefourit seems to be throwing quite a bit of black on his foals. Fingers crossed I know you have wanted one! Though I think Cool and maybe Happy might be your best bet. Depends on how far back in Happy's pedigree colors other than chestnut/sorrel is. Her sire is a Bay like Ginger so Cool is still the highest odds.
What is the preferred color for a horse?
@christinedoss9867 there isn't one. I'm just trying to tell Katie because she has said she would like a black foal. If I remember correctly, she has said she thought Indy was her best bet. However genetically it's actually Cool.

I guess you can't say she accidentally jumped in the car on your way home like my daughter used to do when she started driving. She did it with puppies kittens birds raccoons opossum lizards snakes ECT. She brought all kinds of little critters home with her and since I'm an animal lover she knew i couldn't turn a helpless baby away. Happy is sooo beautiful!! I love her coloring. Praying she has a happy healthy babies with no complications! 🐎 ❤️ Maybe one day I'll get a mini.

Sorry if this is a silly question... Is there like a list of do's and don'ts when your mares are pregnant? For example, they can be ridden, or no jumping, etc.
I'm just curious! And love all the videos makes me miss my grandparents farm. ❤
They can be ridden a few weeks after they get pregnant, than continue to be ridden until a certain point in their pregnancy, but you should only do it with horses that have been ridden continuously before they got pregnant. Like for example her horse Gracie, hasn’t been ridden in years so it’s not a good idea to ride her while pregnant but her horse Annie has been ridden a ton before she got pregnant a few years ago so it was okay for her to be ridden while pregnant. Some people say you can ride them until their 8 months pregnant, some say you can until their 9-10 (don’t quote me on that I’m not a vet) it just depends on your horse and what your vet says. The mares I worked with were never used for jumping while pregnant so I don’t have any experience on that.
