More than 144 mph? Rosemeyers record was 406,32 km/h / 252,48 mph October 25, 1937 He died by accident as he tried to brake the record in 1938 with over 430 km/h. The race was between Audi (Autounion) and Mercedes and Mercedes won the race with 432,7 km/h.
You're referring to the top speed record. The record in the video is specifically for the standing mile - which as stated in the video was 134 mph. It also sounded like the narrator said 15 cylinders - it's actually 16.

they are not needed in all countries, you don't just spend millions in a racecar-suitable highway if it's not necessary
Highways are for trucks and not for racecars, don’t get me wrong i am german and it’s cool to drive 300kmh sometimes but it’s absolutely unnecessary to spend so much money on perfect highways
