    Your videos just keep getting better. Love the PIP commentary during the action scenes. Your knowledge and how you’re sharing it is always improving. When I first found your channel I found you to be a little cocky but you’re finding a more sophisticated voice and coming across as a guy who loves his hobby/craft. Keep growing and putting out great content 👊

      I really appreciate the comment man! This has been a huge learning curve for me as a creator and a person. I was so worried about buttoning things up in the beginning and looking professional that it did seem to come off as slightly cocky. I am really focusing now on being humble and sharing my experiences as they are, as opposed to pretending I know it all or that I am perfect. I just want more people to be involved in the sport and love making content!

      @@MTBTravelReview Truth be told, with your last several videos you're really pushing yourself up the ranks in terms of content providers putting out solid content. I have the same bike also XL. I'm 6 ft tall & my previous bike was the Hightower LT in XL. After riding the Megatower for two seasons I decided it's a little to big so I had to downsize. I'm now riding a large Megatower & I just love it. All my previous bikes before I fell in love with Santa Cruz were size XL but that XL Megatower was just too much of a bike. I live in the PNW & the Megatower just rips up the trails that I throw at it but as for an all around do everything bike it is not but if its all you got it'll make do.

    Just picked up an aluminum Hightower this January. Can't wait for the spring to shred. I've ridden it a couple times this winter and I've loved every second on it

    I have one question, could i put 27.5 wheels to this megatower frame? I’m a little guy so its better for me to use 27.5, i just saw a megatower frame

    Yesterday at Kanuga was my first proper "downhill" ride on my mega, and it is indeed a rocketship. My first 29'er as well coming off of a bronson I've been riding the last couple years. So far I'm absolutely loving it. Took a couple rides to get used to the bigger wheels my I'm definitely feeling at home now. Great vid. 🤘

      Hell ya man! Bike is so much fun and you’ll have a blast learning to tame it in the coming weeks/months. Kanuga is a place where the setup really shines! Appreciate the support!

    Why not go for the reserve wheel set? Just curious. I just upgraded my v4 nomad and saw a huge difference from AL to the reserve 30’s with hydras.

    • @MTBTravelReview
      @MTBTravelReview  Před 3 lety +1

      Reserves were actually sold out at the time, which is when I found Nobl. Watch the Nobl video I did for the full details, but they are awesome rims that are just as strong, have a full warranty on the premium line, and cost a bit less.

    I have to ask since you made a bike check, any idea what that clicking/creaking is? I’ve never heard that tone of a creak before

    • @MTBTravelReview
      @MTBTravelReview  Před 3 lety +2

      Clicking is actual from the chest mounted GoPro, mild flaw. Creaking is from my carbon bars, which is terrifying... 😂

    I had similar thinking when i got my Bronson v3, my local trails are tight tech (NJ) but i do enjoy the bike parks as well.. so the bronson is a bit much for my local and rides completely different up at speed.... Now if only i could actually handle the bike at speed 😅🤣
