      Hi there and sorry for the delay in responding. Mine has an activation key stroke combination to turn the touchpad on which on mine is the fn key with the “T” key. It might be different on yours however. Hopefully you get it functioning.

    Bought it, it’s super great. The keys change door and it has a lot of little short cuts so for a person that writes a lot it can be a life changer. Also it’s great for the price i bought it used and it cost me 50$. Coming from a Logitech keyboard i can say I should’ve never bought it. This is great, I also wanted to say that its super useful as a biology student since i have to draw and make a lot of lab observation. SUPER RECOMENDABLE.

      Tech Talk with Troy I have a quick question about the case! Does the case pull up the edges of the screen protector? Also I’m worried if I need to take it off that it will scratch the iPad. Have you been able to remove it?

      Try removing it completely from your iPad and then repairing it. I would think if it doesn’t work it may be defective. I know you can turn the trackpad on/off but not the entire keyboard except when using the power button. I’ve not encountered this issue before. Hope you can get it going.

    Thanks for the detailed review Troy! It’s really helpful.
    I’d like to know the maximum degree of angle you can open the iPad (lid) to, so that the iPad doesn’t fall back.
    In this video, you’ve opened the case and held it in ~90° angle.
    Also, does the case stay in its position i.e. does the lid start falling backwards or forward (slowly)?
    Thank you!

    • @techtalkwithtroy7975
      @techtalkwithtroy7975  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you for watching and your question!! I’d say I can open it to about 130 degrees before it starts to tip backwards. But once you set the lid where you want it, it stays very well. The joint is very stiff and will not move until you move it. Hope that helps answer your question. The iPad fits very snuggly so if you plan to take it in and out a lot, you may want to consider something different. I keep mine in the case all the time, so not an issue, but I took it out to make a video and almost felt like I was going to bend the iPad. In fact, some of the Amazon comments said they damaged their iPads trying to take them out. Thanks again!

      Tech Talk with Troy thanks for your prompt response Troy! I guess an angel of 130° is absolutely doable.
      I am really worried about taking the iPad out of the shell if it’s absolutely necessary. I’ll try to figure out/do some research on proper ways to get the iPad out of this case, without damaging it.
      Thanks again! 😊

I’ve only taken it out one time and it was hard with the same fear of breaking the iPad. I’d say just get something that won’t scratch the surface of your iPad and very carefully pry it out. Yes! That’s what I was also afraid of with this case. It’s nice that it’s so tight, but it’s too tight if you want to get your ipad in and out.

      Did you find it on Amazon? Should have the latest price out there. Still working great for me! Only thing I don’t like is the finish that really shows finger prints, etc.

    As of today there's been a $30 price drop! Great for the price.

      As explained earlier, he chose a new laptop over an iPad for his graduation. Then decided later he also wanted the iPad which he decided to pay for. Don’t worry, he’s well taken care of.

      I agree! I tried only one time and scared that I had bent my ipad. Won’t be doing that again any time soon. Wish they wouldn’t have made it that difficult. Thanks for the nice comment and watching!!

    How do you use the trackpad for app switching? It doesn’t work on mine

    • @techtalkwithtroy7975
      @techtalkwithtroy7975  Před 3 lety

      I don’t know if I’ve tried that but usually on a Mac you use either two or three finger swipe. Try that.

      @@techtalkwithtroy7975 That’s what I have been trying. 3 finger swipe up and hold for all the open apps. It doesn’t work.

      I think these built in trackpads don’t work as they should. I never use mine but only use a Bluetooth mouse. Not as frustrating.
