I wish my parents had a better memory. They were very active, involved parents, but I guess it all blurred together. They mix the 3 of us (my brothers and I) up a lot in memories, and the details often end up not being accurate.
My mom said I started talking early, and she said quite confidently I must have been 7 months old (this is UNUSUALLY early), but my dad has always been better at times/dates, and he said I was at least 10 months old when I started talking (which is on the early side of normal).

My mom was just recently expressing unhappiness that, realistically, I couldn’t / it wouldn’t have made sense for me to have been diagnosed any kind of autistic as a kid. Getting diagnosed ADHD-PI would have been theoretically possible, and since Ritalin also existed, it would have made more sense to go that route, as the diagnoses were mutually exclusive. Twice-exceptionality is still rarely correctly identified in kids, and schools are ill-prepared to deal with it. 🤷‍♀️
