  • A clogged exhaust port will give the same symptoms of a clogged spark arrestor. Be VERY careful when cleaning out tbe carbon deposits on ANY machine! Flush the living daylights out of it when you're done scraping the carbon. Do this at your own risk. 😱 share with your friends. This is somewhat common on any 2 stroke machine. Look beyond the spark arrestor. Thanks for watching and smash the like button! Im OUT!

      Glad it worked for you John. Thank you so much for the comment. It means you watched the video, attempted the repair and then took the time to come back to CZcams and leave me your thoughts. It seems small but it is so greatly appreciated. Thank You.

    Sounds like the adjustment is right as far as you can get it without the air filter. I know a few people that mix their fuel with a higher than recommend oii/gas ratio thinking that the extra oil will work to better protect their engine. When in fact it does just the opposite. The extra oil not only causes the carbon build up but can cause the engine to over heat due to not enough gas entering the cylinder with the rich mix. After all said, still see the carbon issue months later.
    Stay well Dave. Joe Z

    I have the echo pb265l blowers and a echo weed eaters all have miniature catalytic converters 3 i’ve had engine issues with. the exhaust side of the cylinder is getting so hot it’s baking the oil to the piston and causing the piston ring to stick on the exhaust side of the piston. my two cents, they are running them extremely lean from the factory to meet EPA guidelines. which makes sense they need them to run hot to make the catalytic converter‘s affective so essentially they are baking the engines to meet EPA standards. wish i knew where to pick up a standard muffler.

    must be the issue with the one I'm working on. idles fine but when I try to rev it bogs down & started smoking like it was going to catch fire. smelled like a engine with no oil in it. the blower was given to my neighbor & he asked me to see if I could get it running. thumbs up the vid

      @@nikplayzroblox6198 I'm thinking maybe the mixture has too much oil in it , either that or they ran straight gasoline in it & fried the piston ring. Going to change the gas next. The muffler & all that was spotless.

    Does it take oil with the gas?

    • @ZombieDaveAZ
      @ZombieDaveAZ  Před 3 lety

      Yes. I use 3 oz per gallon. That's about 45:1 ratio.

      Maybe. He has crews that he cant watch all the time. Multiple users is very hard on machines in my opinion.

      @@Adem19811on an echo carb look at the top of your carburetor where the linkage connects to the cable..right in the middle of that linkage there's a nut attached to a brass tube. Inside of that brass tube is where the low side adjustment screw is located. To access it you need to remove a small plastic limiter cap with an "echo limiter cap removing tool"
